Garden Sheds in Montenegro: Prices of Metal and Keter Sheds, Outdoor Cabinets and Storage Boxes, and When You Must Notify the Municipality (2026)

A Fieldmann garden shed in galvanised steel on Ananas on 26 September 2026 costs €199.99 for 2 m², €363.99 for 7 m² and €437.99 for 8.4 m², and a Keter Newton Plus of 230 × 350 cm at Okov €1,990. Per m² that is about €52 for the larger Fieldmann sheds and about €247 for the Keter. Under the Law on Spatial Planning and Construction, a store that is not part of the house is an auxiliary structure, for which notice is filed with the municipal inspectorate 15 days before it goes up.

What people search for

On 26 September 2026 Google completed bastenska kucica (garden shed) with okov, crna gora (Montenegro), uradi sam (DIY), za alat (for tools), od sendvic panela (made of sandwich panels) and baštenska kućica cena (garden shed price), as well as the names of regional retail chains. So people look for ready-made sheds from shops, tool sheds and sheds they build themselves.

Garden sheds

Ananas sells Fieldmann sheds, whose 7 m² model is described as 0.6 mm galvanised sheet steel with ventilation, and Keter sheds, while Okov has the Keter Newton Plus. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

The Keter Newton Plus of 230 × 350 cm covers about 8.05 m², almost as much as the 8.4 m² Fieldmann, but costs about 4.5 times as much. The difference lies in the maker, the look and the fittings, so compare what you actually need.

Cabinets and storage boxes

If you need somewhere for tools rather than a whole shed, Okov sells Keter cabinets and boxes:

For a mower, a hose and hand tools, a 182 cm cabinet is often enough, and it costs €109 to €149, less than the smallest shed at €199.99.

A sandwich-panel shed: the numbers

You can also build a shed yourself, which is why od sendvic panela is a frequent suggestion with the search. This is our own calculation for a 2 × 3 m shed, 2.2 m high, at the KIPS panel prices from our guide to sandwich panels, read on 25 September 2026:

• Walls: perimeter 10 m × 2.2 m = 22 m², at €18.88 for a wall panel = €415.36.
• Roof: 6 m², at €27.19 for a 30 mm roof panel = €163.14.
• Panels alone in total: €578.50, without the frame, door, screws, base and labour.

The panels alone for 6 m² cost more than a ready-made 7 m² Fieldmann shed at €363.99, so a panel shed only pays off when you need a larger or unusually shaped structure.

When you must notify

Under the Law on Spatial Planning and Construction, in the text published on gov.me with amendments up to Official Gazette of Montenegro 82/20:

1. An auxiliary structure is one that forms a functional whole with a residential or commercial building, and its conditions are set by the planning document (Article 118).
2. Among auxiliary structures the law expressly lists stores that are not part of the main building, alongside garages, pools, wells and fences (Article 119).
3. Notice: an auxiliary structure is placed on the basis of a notice and documents, namely proof of the right to the land and technical documentation in line with the urban planning conditions, which may also be a standard design (Article 120).
4. Deadline: the investor files the notice and documents with the local inspectorate at least 15 days before starting (Article 120).

A garden tool shed is in practice a store outside the house, so on our reading of the law it is an auxiliary structure. Before putting it up, ask the municipality whether your planning document allows an auxiliary structure on the plot and whether newer conditions apply. On Glatko

On 26 September 2026 Glatko had one verified contractor in the garden and pool category, from Podgorica, and there were no shed installation requests. For the base and concrete work you can also send a request to construction contractors.

What to check before buying

1. The floor area in m² and the door height, if you go in with a mower.
2. The material and whether it needs painting or maintenance.
3. The base, because the shed must stand level.
4. Whether anchoring against wind is included.
5. The planning document and the notice to the municipality, before installation.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from two shops on the day we read them and calculated the price per m² ourselves, only for sheds whose area we know. We did not measure the prices of wooden sheds by local makers, as we found none published, nor the cost of assembly and the base.
