Lawn mowers and grass trimmers in Montenegro: prices of electric, cordless and petrol models at Okov and KIPS, and when it pays to hire mowing (2026)

On 25 September 2026 a lawn mower at Okov and KIPS cost from €69.90 for an electric one to €7,900 for a ride-on mower, and the cheapest petrol mower from €129.91. A trimmer could be bought from €23.90 for an electric one at KIPS up to €959.99 for a professional petrol brush cutter at Okov. Discounts were common: at Okov 19 of the 52 mowers we read were on sale, and at KIPS 17 of 34.

Below are the prices of mowers and trimmers by type at both shops, how much a battery adds, three sets for different areas, when it pays more to hire mowing, and your rights when you order a mower online.

What people search for

On 25 September 2026 Google completed kosilica za travu (lawn mower) with podgorica, okov, na benzin (petrol), na struju (electric), na baterije (cordless) and samohodna (self-propelled), and trimer za travu (grass trimmer) with okov, podgorica, kips and crna gora (Montenegro). Next to kosenje trave (lawn mowing) Google offered po kvadratu cena (price per square metre), bar and podgorica. According to Google Keyword Planner, kosenje trave was searched between 10 and 100 times a month in Montenegro, in Serbian, from September 2025 to August 2026.

Mowers by type

Okov sells mowers and trimmers from brands such as Stihl, AL-KO, Alpina, Einhell, Greatland, Bosch, DeWalt and Cub Cadet, and KIPS sells Makita, INGCO, ADK and Villager, so both shops let you compare cheap and professional models. We read the prices on 25 September 2026 on the Okov and KIPS websites. Okov has 69 products in its mowers category, and we read 52, sorted from the cheapest and from the most expensive; KIPS has 34. With cordless mowers the price without a battery is misleading: at Okov the Stihl RMA 235.0 without battery and charger costs €208, and the RMA 235.1 with battery and charger €354, so the battery and charger add €146. The cheapest petrol mowers were on sale: the Greatland GL 41 P at Okov for €129.91 instead of €219, and a 40 cm petrol mower at KIPS for €149.99 instead of €219.

Trimmers and brush cutters

At Okov 17 of 41 trimmers were on sale, and at KIPS 8 of 20. The cheapest petrol brush cutter was the G. Best GB 145 MS at Okov for €89.90 instead of €149.90, and the petrol Stihl FS 55 was €238.41 instead of €279.

Which set for which area

An electric mower and trimmer need a socket and a cable, so they suit a small lawn by the house. Cordless tools have no cable, but the battery and charger can add more than two thirds of the tool's price, as with Stihl, so it pays to stay with one maker and one battery. For a bigger garden and a plot with tall grass a petrol mower and a petrol brush cutter are better, and for a neglected plot with scrub a sickle-bar mower or a heavier brush cutter. Buy or hire mowing

Hardly anyone publishes a price for mowing. On oglasi.me we found one offer with a price: mowing with a trimmer, clearing plots and removing trees in Danilovgrad for €25, with no unit given. The cheapest petrol brush cutter at Okov costs as much as three to four such visits, but you also have to count fuel, oil, trimmer line and time. Buying online

Under the Consumer Protection Law, in force since 14 February 2026, you can withdraw from a distance purchase, for example a mower ordered from a web shop, within 14 days of receipt, without giving a reason. The right does not apply to goods made to your specifications, and a mower or trimmer from the regular range is not such a product.

Glatko and lawn mowing

What we did not measure

At Okov we did not read 17 mowers from the middle of the price list. None of the contractors we looked at publishes a mowing price per m², and from the ads we have only one offer. We did not calculate fuel consumption, servicing or the price of spare blades, nor prices at smaller shops and at authorised dealers of individual brands. The prices are from a single day.
