Snow shovels in Montenegro: prices of snow shovels and snow pushers, car snow shovels and snow brushes at Okov and KIPS (2026)

On 28 September 2026 a snow shovel costs from €4.49 for a car shovel to €13.90 for an Amio telescopic shovel at Okov. A wide snow pusher costs from €10.99 to €14.99, a children's shovel €4.99, and a folding shovel at KIPS €18.99. Ananas had no offer for a snow shovel.

Snow in Montenegro falls rarely on the coast and almost every winter in the north, in Nikšić and in Cetinje, so a shovel is bought before the first snow, when the choice is wider. Shovels and pushers at Okov

At Okov the searches for lopata za snijeg and gurac snijega (snow pusher) returned eight snow shovels and pushers, the rest being chains, tyre socks, decorations and toys. The cheapest is an All Ride PVC car shovel 94 cm long at €4.49 instead of €6.80, and the 41 cm wide Prosperplast Alpin with a wooden handle costs €5.99 instead of €9.99. The Amio telescopic shovel, which extends from 71 to 91 cm, costs €13.90.

Wide snow pushers cost €10.99 for the K1 instead of €17.80 and €14.99 for the 800 mm wide Titanium 80 instead of €22.50. The 71 cm Load Baby children's shovel costs €4.99 in green and blue, and a wooden children's pusher €5.20. A Michelin snow brush costs €12.49, and a 36 V battery for a Sonneck cordless snow thrower €49.45 instead of €98.90.

Shovels at KIPS and snow chains

At KIPS the search for lopata za snijeg returned 18 results, but no shovel specifically for snow. The Energo folding shovel, with a folding mechanism, costs €18.99, and flat shovels from €8.70 to €12.30 for a shovel with a 130 cm handle. On Ananas the searches for lopata za snijeg and lopata za sneg returned no shovels.

For a trip to the north you need car equipment as well as a shovel. At Okov Amio KNS snow chains cost from €29.90 to €34.90, chains for off-road vehicles from €59.90 to €69.90 and tyre socks €27.90, while at KIPS chains cost €23.99 and textile ones €26.90. How to clear snow

For soft snow on a path and in front of a garage a wide pusher is faster, while for packed snow and ice a narrower shovel with a metal edge is better. A plastic shovel is light and does not scratch tiles, but its edge wears faster, while an aluminium one is stronger but heavier. For a car a short shovel or a telescopic one that fits in the boot is enough, together with a brush for the glass and roof.

Push snow instead of lifting it, and when you must lift, take less, bend your knees rather than your back and do not twist your trunk as you throw snow to the side. Take short breaks, because clearing heavy, wet snow is hard on the heart and back. What the EU sets for manual handling of loads

In Article 3, Council Directive 90/269/EEC on the manual handling of loads requires the employer to avoid, through work organisation or equipment, in particular mechanical equipment, the need for workers to handle loads manually, and where that is not possible, to reduce the risk. Annex I states that the risk of back injury rises when the load is too heavy, when it is lifted with bending or twisting of the trunk, in an unstable posture or on a slippery floor.

The directive applies to workers, but the same factors apply to clearing snow in front of a house. Montenegro is not an EU member, and a shovel with a longer handle, a wide pusher and shorter strokes reduce exactly those risks.

On 28 September 2026 Glatko had one verified provider in garden and pool, from Podgorica, and one in minor repairs, from Budva.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from Okov and KIPS on the day we read them, with the pre-discount price where shown. At Okov we merged two searches and removed chains, tyre socks, decorations and toys, and because of the small number of shovels we did not calculate a median. KIPS had no snow shovel, so we list the folding and flat shovels. We did not measure the weight of the shovels or how long they last.
