Garden lighting in Montenegro: prices of LED and solar floodlights, outdoor wall lights, sensors and how much power they use (2026)

On 25 September 2026 a 10 W mains LED floodlight cost €3.49 at KIPS and €4.99 at Okov, while solar floodlights with a sensor started from €24.90 at Okov, and a 50 W solar floodlight at KIPS cost €46.99. An outdoor wall light costs from €9.99 at KIPS and from €10.99 at Okov, and the median of Okov's first 32 wall lights was €31.40. A 20 W floodlight lit for ten hours every night costs €5.31 to €10.20 a year at 2026 electricity prices.

What people search for

On 25 September 2026 Google completed spoljna rasvjeta (outdoor lighting) with podgorica, crna gora (Montenegro), okov and spoljna zidna rasvjeta (outdoor wall lighting), as well as kips spoljna rasvjeta and the names of two other local lighting shops. Solarne lampe (solar lights) came first with okov, then with za dvorište (for the garden), za dvoriste crna gora (for the garden Montenegro), crna gora, podgorica and za zid (for the wall), and reflektor sa senzorom (floodlight with sensor) with dan noc (day-night), pokreta (motion), okov and solarni (solar). In English and Russian Google offered no suggestions for outdoor lighting in Montenegro.

Outdoor lighting at Okov

Okov splits outdoor lighting into four categories; we read the first 32 products in each, 116 in total. We explain how we choose and label price sources in how we measure prices.

The cheapest mains floodlights are 10 W LEDs, an Osram with 900 lumens and an Emos with 1,000 lumens, at €4.99 each, while a 20 W Emos costs €6.99 and a 30 W one €8.99. The most expensive, a 200 W Emos Profi with 22,000 lumens, costs €129.90. A 12 W solar floodlight with a sensor costs €24.90, and a 200 W solar one €99.90, but it gives only 1,882 lumens.

Outdoor lighting at KIPS

KIPS in Podgorica has mains floodlights, solar lights and floodlights and outdoor wall lights:

A 100 W mains floodlight at KIPS costs €19.99, and a solar one of the same rated power €69.49. A 1.3 W solar wall light with a sensor costs €14.63, and a solar post light with a sensor €45.99. The cheapest solar light, a black IP44 one with 24 LEDs of 0.1 W each, costs €2.74, and the 0.16 W Mora stake light €8.93.

Solar or mains

A solar light needs no cable or electrician and uses no electricity, but it shines only as long as the sun has charged its battery, and the rated power in the name does not mean the same light: Okov's 200 W solar floodlight gives 1,882 lumens, while a 20 W mains LED floodlight from the same shop gives 2,000. Solar lights are enough for a path, steps and a garden; for a gate, parking or a yard that needs lighting all night, a mains floodlight is safer, ideally with a motion sensor, so it lights up only when someone passes. How much a mains floodlight uses

This is our calculation for a 20 W LED floodlight lit for ten hours every night: 20 W × 10 hours × 365 days = 73 kWh a year. Fijaka says in its electricity price guide that in 2026 a kilowatt-hour, with network charges, fees and VAT, costs about 13.97 cents at the higher tariff and about 7.27 cents at the lower tariff, which on new meters applies between 23 and 7 o'clock. So those 73 kWh cost from €5.31, if everything ran at the lower tariff, to €10.20 at the higher one; the real bill is in between, because the lights also run before 23 o'clock.

Weather protection and installation

The IP rating on a light tells you how well it is protected against water and dust: outdoor lights in both shops carry ratings such as IP44, IP54 or IP65, and for a spot exposed to rain choose a higher one. Who does this on Glatko

On 25 September 2026 Glatko had eight verified electricians, six in Podgorica and two in Budva. A registered provider's invoice goes through the Tax Administration's electronic fiscalisation system.

What to ask before buying and installing

1. How many lumens the light gives, not just how many watts are written on it.
2. What its IP rating is and whether it suits the location.
3. How many hours a solar light shines on a full battery.
4. Whether the floodlight has a motion sensor and a day-night sensor.
5. Who lays the cable and switch and what the labour costs.

What we did not measure

At Okov we read the first 32 products per category, not the whole range, and we cleaned KIPS's searches of work lights and indoor lamps. We did not measure solar battery life or actual light output. We found no published price for installing outdoor lighting, and we did not look at the range of other local lighting shops.
