Garden hoses in Montenegro: 1/2 and 3/4 inch hose prices on Ananas, at KIPS and Okov, price per metre and what the EU says about phthalates in PVC hoses (2026)

On 27 September 2026 a garden hose at KIPS costs from €6.49 to €184.99, with a median of €36.99 across 55 hoses, and a metre of 1/2 inch hose has a median of €0.92. On Ananas the median is €27.70 across 21 hoses, and at Okov a 3/4 inch, 25 m hose costs €24.90 on sale.

What people search for

Google Trends returned no data for the terms bastensko crijevo (garden hose) and crijevo za vodu (water hose) in Montenegro. On 27 September 2026 Google completed bastensko crijevo with okov, za vodu (for water), podgorica, 3 4 (three-quarter) and crna gora, and crijevo za vodu with okov, pola cola (half inch), 2 cola (two inches), crna gora, kips, cijena (price), 3 4 cola (three-quarter inch), 3 4 cijena (three-quarter price) and 1 2 cola (half inch). So people look for shops, the diameter in inches and the price.

Hoses at KIPS

At KIPS the search returned 291 results, including 55 garden hoses with the length in the name; the rest were clamps, connectors, drip irrigation parts and hoses for showers and washing machines. The cheapest is the 1/2 inch Water Spike: €6.49 for 15 m, €10.49 for 25 m and €20.49 for 50 m, or €0.41 per metre for 50 m. The 1/2 inch Quattro costs €9.99 for 15 m, €15.99 for 25 m and €30.99 for 50 m, and the Satinet Grey €9.49, €15.49 and €32.99.

The Green ATS, Hobby ATS2, Classic and Highflex hoses are more expensive. The 1/2 inch Hobby ATS2 costs €36.99 for 25 m and €70.99 for 50 m, and the 3/4 inch one €61.99 and €117.99. The most expensive is the 3/4 inch, 50 m Highflex at €184.99. The Plastigel silicone hose is sold by the metre, at €1.05 for 1/2 inch and €2.05 for 3/4 inch.

Hoses on Ananas

On Ananas the search returned 106 results, and 21 hoses had the length in the name; the rest were hose reels, connectors, spray guns and pump hoses. The three-layer 1/2 inch Nakayama costs €10.99 for 15 m, €15.99 for 25 m and €29.90 for 50 m, and the five-layer one €19.90, €27.50 and €49.90. The economy Beorol costs €27.70 for 1/2 inch and 50 m, and €23.40 for 3/4 inch and 20 m.

The 1/2 inch Papillon Gardentech costs €12.23 for 15 m and €21.23 for 25 m, and the 3/4 inch Sprintech €54.49 for 25 m and €106.87 for 50 m. 1 inch hoses from Papillon and Tecnotubi cost from €85 to €199. Hose reels cost from €15.30 to €195.

Hoses at Okov

At Okov the search for crijevo (hose) returned 427 products, and the first page had four garden hoses, along with shower and pump hoses. The 3/4 inch, 25 m Fitt Mimosa costs €24.90 instead of €35.90, the 1/2 inch, 30 m Fitt NTS Master Plus €54.90, and the 1/2 inch, 50 m Fitt NTS Jeans €67.90. A 30 m Kinzo spiral hose with attachments costs €24.90.

Price per metre and calculation

By our calculation, a metre of 1/2 inch hose has the same median at KIPS and on Ananas, €0.92. A metre of 3/4 inch hose at KIPS has a median of €1.55, so it is about 68 % more expensive than a metre of 1/2 inch, but more water flows through the wider diameter. A 1/2 inch, 50 m hose costs €20.49 at KIPS (Water Spike), €27.70 on Ananas (Beorol) and €67.90 at Okov (Fitt NTS Jeans). A longer hose is usually cheaper per metre: the 15 m Water Spike costs €0.43 per metre and the 50 m one €0.41.

What the EU says about phthalates in PVC hoses

Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/2005 bans placing on the market, from 7 July 2020, articles containing the phthalates DEHP, DBP, BBP and DIBP at 0.1 % or more by weight of the plasticised material. The ban does not apply to articles exclusively for industrial or agricultural use or exclusively for use in the open air, provided the plasticised material does not come into contact with mucous membranes or into prolonged contact with the skin. A garden hose is used outdoors, so the exemption may apply to it. If children drink water from the hose or play with it, choose a hose labelled phthalate-free. Montenegro is not an EU member.

On Glatko

On 27 September 2026 Glatko had one verified garden and pool provider from Podgorica and eight plumbers: four from Podgorica, two from Tivat and one each from Budva and Bar.

What to check before buying

1. The diameter: 1/2 inch for an ordinary tap, 3/4 inch for more flow.
2. The length: measure from the tap to the farthest point and add a few metres.
3. The number of layers: more layers mean less kinking.
4. A phthalate-free label if children use the hose.
5. Connectors that match the diameter.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from Ananas, KIPS and Okov on the day we read them, with the pre-discount price where shown; the price per metre, groups and medians are ours. We took the diameter and length from the name and removed hose reels, connectors, pump, shower and washing machine hoses and hoses without a length. At Okov we read the first page of the search. We did not measure what pressure a hose withstands or how much it kinks.
