Video Intercom in Montenegro: Prices of Kits for a House, Handsets for a Flat and Entrance Panels for a Building (2026)

On 25 September 2026, a video intercom kit for a house with a monitor and an outdoor unit cost in Montenegro from €175.63 for the Tehtel Hit 7 at KIPS, €180 for the Dahua KTA02 at DSS and €198.90 for a Hikvision kit on Ananas. A replacement handset for a flat in a building costs from €11.97, and a keypad for a building's entrance panel from €43.12 for one button to €59.02 for eight.

In Google Trends for Montenegro interfon has small but measurable interest, and in English and Russian Google offered no suggestions.

Video intercoms for a house

These are the cheapest kits with a monitor and an outdoor unit in three shops. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

Ananas also listed a Bolzz Smart Connect for €26.25, but without a description we could compare with the kits, so we leave it out of the range.

What is in the kit

Kits differ in camera, monitor and cable. According to the KIPS page, the Tehtel Hit 7 is a single-user kit with a 7-inch colour screen, a wireless handset, a metal outdoor unit with an adjustable camera angle and 15 m of cable, and it also opens an electric lock; the €200.71 Top 7 also has an RFID card reader in the keypad. According to the DSS description, the €180 Dahua KTA02 has an outdoor unit with one button, a 1.3 MP camera with a 70° angle and IP66 protection, and an output for an electric lock. The more expensive Dahua kits from €370 to €519 have a touchscreen monitor, and the €370 kit also has a card reader. The €198.90 Hikvision kit is four-wire, with a 720 × 576 camera and a 7-inch monitor, and the two-wire kit with a 2 MP camera costs €265.20.

Audio intercoms and parts for a flat

On 25 September 2026, KIPS had 50 Tehtel intercom products, and DSS audio sets, monitors and handsets:

The €11.97 handset is a Tehtel Q2 for the Q2 system, so when replacing one check the brand and system of the existing intercom: one manufacturer's handset usually does not work with another's panel.

An entrance panel for a building

For buildings KIPS sells Tehtel keypads for the entrance panel from €43.12 for one button, €44.60 for two, €48.08 for four, €52.67 for six and €59.02 for eight buttons, and a ten-button keypad for €50.85. Call units for one to four users cost from €177.52 to €184.75, and a flush-mounted call unit €313.48. Code or card-reader keypads cost from €37.63 to €85.54, and an electric strike for the lock €28.39. For buildings DSS also offers Akuvox IP systems, 80 products from accessories to call panels costing several thousand euros.

A building intercom is a common part

Under the Act on the Maintenance of Residential Buildings, Article 10 point 9, the maintenance of electrical devices, including replacing intercoms, is part of the regular maintenance of a building's common parts. So report a fault on the entrance panel or the shared installation to the building manager, and before buying a new handset or monitor for your flat ask the manager which system the building has. Comparison: the three cheapest video kits

A two-wire system, like the €519 Dahua kit, according to the DSS description uses the existing two-wire cabling, so replacing an old intercom does not require pulling new cable; ask the electrician how many wires you have before buying. On 25 September 2026, Glatko had 8 verified contractors in the electrician category, 6 in Podgorica and 2 in Budva, and one from Podgorica also lists installing intercoms, cameras and alarms in their description. The invoice of a registered contractor goes through the Tax Administration's electronic fiscalisation system.

What to ask the electrician

1. How many wires run from the panel to the flat and whether the system is two-wire.
2. What brand the existing intercom is and whether a new handset works with it.
3. Whether the price includes the lock release and the power supply.
4. Whether the monitor records visitors and works via a phone.
5. Who pays if the fault is on a common part of the building.

What we did not measure

The prices come from three shops on the day of reading; we found no published price for installing an intercom in Montenegro. We did not check the compatibility of parts from different manufacturers, and the prices of Akuvox building systems depend on the number of flats and cannot be reduced to one figure.
