Flashlights and emergency lights in Montenegro: prices of hand-held, rechargeable and Maglite torches and emergency lights at Okov, KIPS and on Ananas (2026)
On 28 September 2026 a flashlight at Okov costs from €2.99 to €239.90, with a median of €29.40 across 54 torches. Maglite costs from €12.99 to €239.90, and a 1,200-lumen rechargeable Black+Decker €25.49. An emergency light for power cuts costs from €10.49 at KIPS, and at Okov it has a median of €27.90.

What people search for
Google Trends returned too little data for the term baterijska lampa (flashlight) in Montenegro. The broader term lampa (lamp), compared with usisivac (vacuum cleaner), had an average of 17, and Trends listed panik lampa (emergency light, +110 %) and podna lampa (floor lamp, +70 %) as rising queries. So emergency lights are searched for more and more, probably because of power cuts.
On 28 September 2026 Google completed baterijska lampa (flashlight) with na telefonu (on the phone), lidl, na punjenje (rechargeable), za lov (for hunting), punjiva (rechargeable), uradi sam (do it yourself), za glavu (for the head) and woby haus, and panik lampa (emergency light) with okov, crna gora, cena (price), ugradna (recessed), crna (black), led, cijena (price), olympia and gr 9 led olympia. It completed ceona lampa (head torch) with za planinarenje (for hiking), lidl, cena (price), planeta, decathlon and za trcanje (for running). So people look for rechargeable torches, head torches, emergency lights and Okov.

Flashlights at Okov
At Okov the first pages of the flashlight, emergency, head and hand lamp searches had 54 flashlights, from €2.99 to €239.90, with a median of €29.40. A Virone LED torch with zoom and a Dunlop hand torch with a magnet cost €2.99, a Varta keyring torch €5.99, and Black+Decker €13.49 for 500 lumens and €25.49 for 1,200 lumens. The Varta Indestructible H20 Pro head torch costs €24.99.
Maglite has 19 torches, from €12.99 for the 2-lumen Solitaire to €239.90 for the 1,082-lumen rechargeable ML150LR, with a median of €54.90. There were 17 rechargeable torches, with a median of €34.90, and an 800-lumen, 8,000 mAh Emos costs €44.90.
Torches at KIPS and on Ananas
At KIPS a 250-lumen LED torch with zoom costs €6.49, a magnetic work light €4.69, an INGCO 250-lumen torch €14.90 and a 450-lumen one €28.90. The 18 V Makita cordless torch costs €39.90, and a 20 V INGCO without a battery €14.99.
On Ananas the search for baterijska lampa returned 24 results, of which 21 torches, from €1.79 for a Redcliffs pen light to €42.50 for a 1,200-lumen Philips. Maurer costs from €5.95 to €9, Ledvance from €10.99 to €27.99, and a Ledvance car emergency light €34.99.
Emergency lights
An emergency light switches on by itself when the power goes out. At KIPS it costs €10.49 for a 60-lumen LED, €11.62 for a 30-LED light, €23.43 for the Olympia GR-7 and €35.73 for a 100-lumen Eaton. At Okov six emergency lights cost from €21.90 to €34.90, with a median of €27.90, and the 200-lumen Olympia GR-9 €23.90. On Ananas five emergency lights cost from €19.13 to €54.60.
Price per 100 lumens
By our calculation, the 1,200-lumen Black+Decker at Okov costs €2.12 per 100 lumens, the 1,200-lumen Philips on Ananas €3.54, the 450-lumen INGCO at KIPS €6.42 and the Maglite ML150LR €22.17, ten times the Black+Decker. The 2-lumen Maglite Solitaire costs €12.99, so with Maglite you also pay for the rugged body, not just the light.

Why EU light bulb rules do not apply to a flashlight
Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/2020 on the ecodesign of light sources sets efficiency and durability requirements for bulbs and LED modules, but Annex III, point 2(c), exempts light sources in battery-operated products and names torches, mobile phones with an integrated torch, toys, desk lamps operating only on batteries, armband lamps for cyclists and solar garden lamps as examples. Under Article 2, point 44, a battery-operated product runs only on direct current from a source contained in the product itself, without a mains connection. Montenegro is not an EU member, so check a flashlight's lumens and battery life yourself.
On Glatko
On 28 September 2026 Glatko had eight verified electricians, six from Podgorica and two from Budva, and 23 renovation and construction providers.
What to check before buying
- Lumens: 100 to 300 for the home, 500 and more for the yard and mountains.
- Power: AA or AAA batteries, or a rechargeable torch with a USB cable.
- Water resistance of IPX4 or higher for rain.
- For an emergency light: the runtime in hours and whether it is recessed or surface-mounted.
- The price per 100 lumens, since the difference reaches tenfold.
How we measured and what we did not measure
We copied prices from Okov, KIPS and Ananas on the day we read them; the medians and price per lumen are ours. We took lumens from the name and removed table, floor and outdoor lamps, insect lamps, work floodlights, solar street lamps and batteries. At Okov we read the first pages of four searches. We did not measure actual brightness or battery life.
