Home and apartment alarms in Montenegro: what a wireless kit, control panel, sensors and siren cost (2026)

A Dahua wireless alarm kit with a control panel, motion sensor, door contact and remote control costs €270 to €310 at DSS in Podgorica, and an Ajax hub from €233 for the Hub to €966 for the hybrid Fibra Hub, at prices read on 25 September 2026. A wired Paradox motion sensor costs from €11.79, and wireless ones €50 from Dahua and €81 from Ajax; a door contact costs from €0.85 for a wired one to €48 for a wireless Ajax, and a wireless indoor siren from Dahua or Ajax €52 to €86. The simplest door and window alarm at Okov costs €3.80 for three.

What people search for

On 25 September 2026 Google completed alarm za kuću (house alarm) with cijena and cena (price), paradox cena (Paradox price), i dvoriste (and yard), bezicni (wireless) and kod kineza (at Chinese shops), and alarm za stan (apartment alarm) with cena and cijena (price). Alarm podgorica and alarm crna gora (alarm Montenegro) came with ajax alarm podgorica, ajax alarm crna gora and alarm automatika, the name of a Podgorica company, and bežični alarm (wireless alarm) with bezicni alarmi za kucu cena (wireless house alarms price) and bežični alarm za vrata (wireless door alarm). In English and Russian Google offered no suggestions for an alarm in Montenegro.

Kits and control panels

On 25 September 2026 DSS in Podgorica, which sells and installs alarms, had 220 products in its alarm systems category, from wired Paradox to wireless Ajax and Dahua. We explain how we choose and label price sources in how we measure prices.

Bought separately, the Dahua ARC3000H-GW2 panel (€172), motion sensor (€50), door contact (€43) and remote (€30) cost €295, so the GW2 kit at €290 saves €5. The GSM kit sends an alarm even when the internet is down, which is a €20 difference from the basic one.

Sensors, sirens and keypads

A wired system is cheaper per sensor but needs cables to every room, so it goes in during a renovation or a new installation. A wireless one is set up in a day without chasing walls, but its sensors run on batteries that have to be replaced.

Smoke, water and gas on the same panel

The same panel can also report a fire or a flood, not just a break-in. At DSS a Dahua wireless smoke detector costs €60 and an Ajax FireProtect €100, a Dahua water detector €63 and an Ajax LeaksProtect €66, while a Dahua gas (LPG) detector costs €40. The cheapest battery smoke detector in the same category costs €12. In a rental apartment this means your phone warns you about a water leak even when you are away.

Okov and Ananas

Okov sells simple standalone alarms: a door and window alarm from €3.80 for three, the GA 50 gas alarm from €33 and the WA 03 water leak alarm from €13.65. Ananas had 259 products in its smart home security equipment category, 227 of them from the seller Podgor: the Hikvision DS-PWA64-L-WE wireless panel costs €215.73, a Hikvision wireless PIR detector €69.36 and a Xiaomi door and window sensor €12.60.

Example: a two-bedroom apartment

This is our calculation for an apartment with a front door and a balcony door, a living room and two bedrooms, at DSS prices:

• Dahua: GW2 kit €290, a second motion sensor €50, a second door contact €43 and an indoor siren €52, €435 in total.
• Ajax: Hub 2 €312, two motion sensors at €81, two door contacts at €48, a HomeSiren €86 and a SpaceControl remote €43, €699 in total.

Alarm, camera and insurance

A sensor with a camera sends a photo when the alarm goes off, and for continuous recording there are video cameras, whose prices are in our guide to CCTV. Who does this on Glatko

On 25 September 2026 Glatko had eight verified electricians, six in Podgorica and two in Budva. A registered provider's invoice goes through the Tax Administration's electronic fiscalisation system.

What to ask before installation

1. Whether the panel reports over GSM when the internet or power is down.
2. How long the panel's backup battery lasts and the batteries in the sensors.
3. Whether the motion sensors ignore pets.
4. Who gets the alarm: you on your phone or a monitoring service, and what that costs per month.
5. What installation costs and whether setting up the app is included.

What we did not measure

We found no published prices for installation or for monthly monitoring by a security service. We copied the kit contents from the seller's descriptions and did not check the reliability of individual brands. Prices come from one specialist shop and two general ones, on the day we read them.
