Scaffolding in Montenegro: Price of Aluminium and Facade Scaffolds, Accessories, Hire and the Rules for Working on a Scaffold (2026)

An aluminium mobile scaffold at Okov on 26 September 2026 costs from €269.90 for a Krause Corda with 3 m working height to €3,890 for a Krause Stabilo with 6.40 m, and CAGSAN scaffolds at KIPS cost from €979 to €4,199. Per metre of working height that is from about €90 to about €608. Companies that hire out facade scaffolding in Montenegro do not publish a price and quote on request. Under the rulebook on occupational safety, a scaffold deck must be at least 60 cm wide.

What people search for

On 26 September 2026 Google completed skela cijena (scaffold price) with po m2 (per m²), gradjevinska skela cijena (construction scaffold price), fasadna skela cijena (facade scaffold price), pokretna skela cijena (mobile scaffold price), skela najam cijena (scaffold hire price) and aluminijska skela cijena (aluminium scaffold price). For iznajmljivanje skele (scaffold hire) it offered cijena, cena po danu crna gora (price per day Montenegro), cena po m2 and za fasadu cena (for a facade price), and people also search for skela prodaja crna gora (scaffold sale Montenegro). Google Trends for Montenegro shows that skela is searched occasionally, with spikes in February and March 2026 and again in September.

Aluminium scaffolds at Okov

Okov sells folding and mobile aluminium scaffolds by Krause and Gierre, with the working height in the product name. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

The price per metre does not rise evenly: scaffolds of up to 5 m have a platform of about 1.56 × 0.68 m, while the Protec and Stabilo have 2 × 0.75 m and 2 × 1.5 m, so a metre of height on the Stabilo costs almost seven times as much as on the smallest Corda.

CAGSAN scaffolds at KIPS, and Ananas

KIPS sells CAGSAN scaffolds with the height in the name, and on Ananas we found one small aluminium scaffold.

Scaffold accessories

• Castors with brake: €34.90 for a 200 mm rubber castor and €46.90 for a 150 mm one at Okov.
• Couplers for tube scaffolding: €7.79 for a fixed and €9.56 for a swivel coupler at KIPS.
• Base plate and insert: €3.97 and €3.53 at KIPS.
• Scaffold anchors: €1.80 for 12 × 160 mm and €3.10 for GS 12 × 120 at Okov.
• Bolts: €1.09 for a T bolt at Okov and €1.18 for a bolt with nut and washer at KIPS.
• Unior scaffold spanner 21 × 22 mm: €17.49 at Okov.

Scaffold hire

Two companies from Podgorica hire out facade scaffolding with delivery and assembly: Skela.ME says it has more than 10,000 m² of scaffolding, and Alba skela more than 4,000 m² of frame and tube scaffolding, with the daily price set for each client. We found no published hire price per m² or per day at any company in Montenegro, so ask for it in the quote, with assembly, dismantling and transport as separate items.

Buy or hire: an example

This is our own calculation. For a house with 150 m² of facade, two-coat painting with preparation at €8 to €12 per m² from our guide to facade painting costs €1,200 to €1,800. A Krause Protec scaffold with 5.3 m working height costs €1,700, as much as the work itself. That is why for a single facade the scaffold is usually hired or brought by the contractor, and buying makes sense if you will use it several times.

What the rules require of a scaffold

The Rulebook on occupational safety measures on temporary or mobile construction sites (Official Gazette of Montenegro 20/19) sets out for scaffolds on a site:

1. Auxiliary scaffolds up to 450 cm are erected according to the manufacturer's instructions (Article 51).
2. The load-capacity sign must be visible, and the scaffold's status is marked by colour: red forbids work, yellow means assembly or dismantling, and green that the scaffold is safe (Articles 53 and 54).
3. A metal scaffold may be given to workers only with documentation certified by the scaffold designer or the person responsible for it (Article 112).
4. The scaffold deck may not be more than 20 cm from the wall and must be at least 60 cm wide (Article 116).
5. A protective net along the full length and height is required when the scaffold is next to a road or closer than 300 cm to the plot boundary, or 600 cm to a neighbouring building (Article 119).
6. The scaffold is inspected at least once a month and after storms, with an entry in the inspection log (Article 120).
7. Trestle scaffolds may be stacked at most two tiers high, and the upper deck may not be higher than 400 cm (Article 122).

On Glatko

On 26 September 2026 Glatko had two verified facade contractors, from Podgorica and Budva, and one in rough construction work from Budva; two requests for rough construction work, from Bar and Kolašin, expired without a choice. The platform does not broker scaffold hire without the work.

What to check before buying or hiring

1. The working height, not the platform height: working height is how high you can reach from the scaffold.
2. The platform dimensions and the load capacity.
3. Castors with brakes and stabilisers, if you move the scaffold.
4. Whether the hire price includes assembly, dismantling and transport.
5. A protective net, if the scaffold is next to a street or close to neighbours.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied scaffold and accessory prices from three shops on the day we read them, and calculated the price per metre of working height ourselves, only for models with the working height in the name. We did not measure hire prices, because no company in Montenegro publishes them, nor the price of used scaffolds and the permit to place a scaffold on public land.
