Barbecue Grills in Montenegro: Charcoal, Gas and Electric Grill Prices at Okov, KIPS and Ananas, Charcoal and Fire Rules (2026)

On 26 September 2026 a barbecue grill in Montenegro costs from €9 for a small Uniwise charcoal grill on Ananas to €999 for a Weber Spirit E-325 gas grill at Okov. The 57 cm Weber Original Kettle is on sale at Okov for €228.99, and electric grills start at €22.20. The same 50 cm Plamen grill costs €101.24 on sale at KIPS and €139.90 at Okov, and charcoal briquettes start at €2.20 per kilogram. Lighting a fire in parks and on dry grass is banned, with a fine of €30 to €2,000.

What people search for

On 26 September 2026 Google completed rostilj crna gora (grill Montenegro) with električni (electric), betonski (concrete), plinski (gas) and zidani roštilj (brick grill), then weber and kamado; for plinski roštilj cijena (gas grill price) it offered weber and napoleon. We did not find a kamado grill in any of the three shops, while Weber and Napoleon are sold by Okov, so we compared them in the tables below.

Charcoal grills

Okov, KIPS and Ananas sell grills from small tabletop models to large ones with a lid and wheels. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

On the day we read the prices, the same 50 cm Plamen grill was €38.66 cheaper at KIPS than at Okov, because KIPS had a 25% sale.

Gas grills

The gas bottle is not included in these prices. KIPS also sells gas torches for lighting from €16.90.

For an apartment terrace, where charcoal is impractical, an electric grill is the option:

What one barbecue costs

This is our own calculation from the prices in the tables:

• Charcoal per kilogram: KIPS briquettes €5.49 / 2.5 kg = €2.20; Weber charcoal €15.99 / 5 kg = €3.20.
• Two kilograms of charcoal, which is our assumption for a family lunch, not a measurement: €4.39 with KIPS briquettes and €6.40 with Weber charcoal.
• One hour of a 2000 W electric grill: 2 kWh × €0.115462 = €0.23 at the EPCG higher-tariff electricity price, without VAT and fixed charges.

Where lighting a fire is banned

Under Article 104 of the Law on Protection and Rescue, lighting a fire and leaving burning objects is banned wherever there is an increased risk of fire: in parks, in the road belt and anywhere with dry grass, leaves and other easily flammable material. For an individual, Article 119 of the consolidated text sets a fine of €30 to €2,000.

Municipalities also issue their own orders in summer. According to a notice on Podgorica.me of 2 June 2026, the Capital City banned lighting and using fire in the open from 1 June to 30 October 2026, and on farmland, in campsites and in other open spaces fire is allowed only with the approval of the Protection and Rescue Service. In national parks fire is allowed only at designated fire pits, for 5 euros a day with wood, as Fijaka writes in its guide to camping.

On Glatko

On 26 September 2026 Glatko had one verified provider from Herceg Novi in the BBQ and meze category, and three in catering overall, two from Budva and one from Herceg Novi. What to check before buying

1. The price of the same model in several shops, because the gap for the 50 cm Plamen was €38.66.
2. A lid, if you want to roast larger cuts of meat or smoke.
3. Wheels and shelves, if you move the grill around the yard.
4. Fuel: charcoal for flavour, gas for quick lighting, electricity for an apartment terrace.
5. Your municipality's rules on open fire, especially in summer.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from three shops on the day we read them, and compared the price of the same Plamen grill ourselves. The price of charcoal per kilogram and the electricity cost are our own calculation, and the consumption of two kilograms of charcoal is an assumption, not a measurement. We did not measure the price of a brick or concrete grill, the price of refilling a gas bottle, or the price of a grilling service for a party, because we did not find published prices.
