Firewood and Wood Stoves in Montenegro: Price per Metre, Cookers, Stoves and Fireplaces (2026)

In Montenegro firewood is searched for by town and price: on 24 September 2026 Google completed drva podgorica (firewood Podgorica) with prodaja drva podgorica (firewood for sale Podgorica), bukova drva podgorica (beech firewood Podgorica), cerova drva podgorica (Turkey oak firewood Podgorica), cijepanje drva podgorica (wood splitting Podgorica), cijena drva podgorica (firewood price Podgorica) and cijepana drva podgorica cijena (split firewood Podgorica price), and metar drva cijena (price of a metre of wood) first with podgorica. For drva za ogrijev crna gora (firewood Montenegro) it offered cijena drva za ogrijev crna gora (firewood price Montenegro), and for sporet na drva crna gora (wood-burning cooker Montenegro) it offered polovan crna gora (used, Montenegro) and alfa sporet na drva cijena crna gora (Alfa wood cooker price Montenegro). In English and Russian there are no such searches for Montenegro.

Firewood prices in 2026

On 11 August 2026 RTCG recorded these prices at the Podgorica market, with a seller's view that they had not changed significantly compared with last year:

The same report says demand was somewhat weaker than before. On 24 September 2026 oglasi.me had, in the firewood category, an advert from Podgorica for split firewood at €90 with a guarantee on the measure, and an advert from Nikšić for split beech and fruit-tree firewood at €100 a metre delivered to Žabljak.

How much firewood has risen

In November 2024 RTCG recorded €75 a metre for split beech and €85 for Turkey oak in Podgorica, and €60 to €65 for unsawn beech. On the coast, between Bar and Budva, a metre then cost up to €95, €10 to €20 more than in Podgorica. In Berane split beech was around €60 and Turkey oak up to €70.

The comparison with 2026 shows that a metre of split beech in Podgorica has risen from €75 to €90–€95.

How much wood you need for the winter

One of the Podgorica residents RTCG surveyed in August 2026 says a winter takes between five and six metres of wood. At the market price for split wood that is from €450 for five metres at €90 to €570 for six metres at €95.

Because firewood is sold by the metre, agree on how the metre is measured. A buyer from Berane told RTCG in 2024 that with wood on trailers it is questionable whether there is even a cubic metre on them, which is why adverts offer a guarantee on the measure.

Prices of new stoves, cookers and fireplaces

On 24 September 2026 wood stoves, cookers and fireplaces at KIPS were on sale:

For some models the space is given in cubic metres and for others in square metres, so compare models in the same unit. The cheapest cooker, the Alfa 55, is described by the retailer as a solid-fuel cooker for heating, cooking and baking, with an efficiency of 70%. For the stoves efficiency ranges from 74% for the Nera to 84% for the Tara.

Used stoves and cookers in the adverts

On 24 September 2026 oglasi.me had 74 adverts in the wood stove category. Adverts from 2026 were mostly between €180 and €900: a used wood cooker for €180, an Alfa 9 cooker for €230 to €300, a 6 kW Plamen Maestral N stove for €350, a stove that heats about 100 m² for €500, a stove used for one winter for €850 and a new roasting stove for €900.

With a used appliance, ask about the year of manufacture, the condition of the firebox and glass, and whether it is only for room heating or can also run central heating.

Eko-fond does not fund log-burning stoves

In its measure 5, Eko-fond's 2026 public call for private individuals supported stoves and boilers burning biomass, but according to the call text only modern forms of biomass, wood briquettes or pellets. What to check when buying and installing

1. How the metre of wood is measured and whether delivery and splitting are included in the price.
2. The type of wood, because according to the same report Turkey oak costs more than beech.
3. Flue connection: if the stove has a 120 mm flue outlet, at KIPS a 1 m pipe costs €38.29 and an adjustable elbow with an opening €46.99; check the diameter in the stove's manual.
4. Output matched to the space, according to the manufacturer's data, not just the price.
5. Fiscal receipt: with a registered seller the bill goes through the electronic fiscalisation system.

Who helps on Glatko

As of 24 September 2026 there was no verified profile in the air conditioning and heating category on Glatko, and among the 25 requests received between 24 April and 28 June 2026 there was none for wood heating.
