Vinyl and SPC Flooring in Montenegro: Shop Prices per m², Installation Costs and an Example for 40 m² (2026)

In Montenegro vinyl and SPC flooring are searched for by shop and town: on 24 September 2026 Google completed vinil pod (vinyl floor) with vinil podovi okov, vinil podovi crna gora (Montenegro), vinil podovi cijena crna gora (price Montenegro), vinil podovi podgorica and vinil podovi debljina (thickness), and spc pod with spc podovi crna gora, spc podovi cerovo, spc podovi podgorica, spc podovi crna gora cijena and spc podovi iskustva (experiences). The queries lvt podovi crna gora, vinil ili laminat za podno grijanje (vinyl or laminate for underfloor heating) and postavljanje vinila preko pločica (laying vinyl over tiles) also exist. The same searches in English and Russian return nothing for Montenegro.

What is what: vinyl, LVT and SPC

According to Gradjevina.org, an SPC floor has a rigid mineral core about 4 to 5 mm thick, usually with an integrated underlay, and is laid with a click system like laminate. Vinyl in planks, known as LVT, can be click or glued down to the subfloor. The same source writes that locally the name tarkett is often used for the whole group of vinyl and SPC floors.

Unlike laminate, the core of vinyl and SPC does not absorb water, so the floor does not swell when liquid is spilled. For all types the flatness of the subfloor is key, because thin planks follow every unevenness beneath them.

Floor prices in the shops

At Okov in Podgorica and at Cerovo on 24 September 2026 a price per square metre was displayed for these SPC floors:

Both floors at Okov are made by Kronospan in Poland. Cerovo also listed other 5 mm SPC models and glue-down LVT, but without a stated price unit, so we do not convert them. LVT adhesive in a 12 kg tub cost €51.73.

Installation prices

Gradjevina.org publishes labour prices, describes them as indicative for the Montenegrin market and says the floor itself is charged separately:

Example: a 40 m² room

This is our calculation from the published prices, not a quote. The floor comes in packs, so we rounded the quantity up to full packs:

• floor from Cerovo: 16 packs, or 42.24 m², for €840.58;
• thinner floor from Okov: 21 packs, or 41.37 m², for €909.73;
• thicker floor from Okov: 22 packs, or 40.92 m², for €1,059.83;
• click installation: €240 to €400 on the first price list, or €400 to €560 on the second;
• if the subfloor is not flat: another €120 to €320 on the first, or €240 to €400 on the second price list.

Skirting and removal of the old floor are not included. According to the first source, click SPC in a flat of about 60 m² is laid in one to two days, and glued vinyl takes a day or two longer because of the compound and adhesive drying.

What the subfloor and installation need

The first source lists this sequence and these rules:

1. Checking the flatness and moisture of the subfloor before starting; glued vinyl needs a perfectly flat and primed subfloor.
2. Self-levelling compound for glued vinyl and for larger unevenness.
3. Acclimatising the planks in the room, usually for 24 to 48 hours, at a stable temperature.
4. Laying with a click system or adhesive, then skirting and silicone at joints with wet areas.
5. Underfloor heating: most SPC and vinyl floors are designed for it, with a floor temperature of up to about 28 °C.
6. A fiscal receipt: a registered contractor's invoice goes through the electronic fiscalisation system.

According to the same source, click SPC can go over a solid, flat base, including old tiles with levelled grout joints. On its flooring overview the same source gives unevenness of up to 2 mm over 2 m as the limit; beyond that the old floor is repaired or removed first. The floor goes down near the end of the works, after plastering, screed, tiling and skimming.

Vinyl or laminate

On the same overview Gradjevina.org compares coverings: labour for laminate is €5 to €9 per m², and for vinyl and SPC €6 to €12. It gives laminate 10 to 15 years of life and poor moisture resistance, except for waterproof models, and vinyl and SPC 15 to 25 years and high resistance. That is why it recommends them for kitchens, hallways and flats on the coast, where moisture and salt are always present, while bathrooms are still mostly tiled because of the drain and waterproofing.

Who lays floors on Glatko

On 24 September 2026 the flooring category had one verified profile, from Tivat. Two Podgorica companies list laying laminate in their descriptions, and one also parquet, but neither mentions vinyl or SPC explicitly. Of the 25 requests the platform received between 24 April and 28 June 2026, one from Podgorica mentioned vinyl and laminate alongside painting work; it expired without an offer.

We did not check actual prices in quotes, installation quality or prices in other shops, nor the floors at Cerovo without a stated price unit. The installation prices come from two published price lists; the first was updated in September 2026 and the second in October 2025.
