Parquet Flooring in Montenegro: Price per m² for 66 Engineered Parquet Models, Fitting and What a 40 m² Room Costs (2026)

Engineered parquet in Montenegro cost from €37.30 to €141.40 per m² on 25 September 2026: those were the prices of all 66 models at the Galerija Podova shop, and the median was €67.24. Two contractors charge €8 to €20 per m² for fitting, so a 40 m² room with the cheapest oak parquet comes to about €1,900 to €2,050.

Parquet prices per m²

On 25 September 2026 Galerija Podova had 66 models in its parquet category: 65 oak and one ash. For each it gives a regular price and a loyalty-card price that is exactly 5% lower. This is one seller, not the whole market; how we choose and label sources is explained on our page on how we measure prices.

The largest groups are in the middle: 15 Salsa models cost €42.11 to €56.10, and 15 Step models €67.24 to €68.63. Only the Privilege range is above €98, including two models at €128.55 and one at €141.40.

With Tarkett parquet the seller gives 10% off skirting and accessories, and anyone who also takes its fitting service gets a further 3% off the whole bill: parquet, skirting and materials. Parquet lacquer at Okov cost €13.19 for 700 ml of Aqualin and €28.90 for a two-component PU lacquer of 1 + 1 litre.

What fitting costs

Two contractors publish a labour price per m²:

Gradjevina.org says a crew does a room of about 40 m² in two to four days and that subfloor preparation is charged separately. For a flat of about 60 m², glued parquet takes three to four days including the glue drying. Emanuel says the exact bill depends on the condition of the subfloor, the area and the type of material.

When you ask for a quote, ask whether the price is for click or glued fitting, whether it includes skirting and underlay, who prepares the subfloor and who takes away the waste. Gradjevina.org writes that it assigns work to crews by type of floor covering, because a parquet fitter and a vinyl fitter do not have the same tools or technique, and the prices of Emanuel Gruppe are published on its parquet fitting page.

Before fitting

In its fitting guide Galerija Podova lists several conditions:

1. Wet trades must be finished and the room dry: plastering, skimming, painting and tiling come before parquet.
2. Subfloor moisture below 2%, checked with a moisture meter.
3. Packs in the room 48 hours before fitting, so the parquet can adjust.
4. Temperature of 18 to 24 °C and air humidity of 30% to 50%.
5. With glued fitting you can walk on the floor 12 hours after fitting at the earliest, and one to two days is recommended; floating fitting needs an underlay for sound and damp insulation.

The subfloor can be a concrete or cement screed, tiles, terrazzo, marble or an old wooden floor, but it must be level; if it is not, a levelling layer is needed. Screed prices are in our guide to screed. For laminate and click parquet, Gradjevina.org recommends an expansion gap of 8 to 10 mm along walls and thresholds, which the skirting later covers.

Example: a 40 m² room

This is our calculation from the published prices, not a quote, without skirting, underlay, and VAT where it is not included:

• The cheapest oak parquet, Timber: 40 × €37.30 = €1,492, plus click fitting at Emanuel of €400 to €560, €1,892 to €2,052 in total.
• Tarkett Salsa Rustik: 40 × €42.11 = €1,684.40, plus the same fitting, €2,084.40 to €2,244.40 in total.
• Tarkett Step: 40 × €68.63 = €2,745.20, plus fitting, €3,145.20 to €3,305.20 in total.

According to Gradjevina.org's comparison, parquet costs more to fit than laminate, €8 to €20 against €5 to €9 per m², but it can be sanded and last 20 to 40 years. Laminate prices are in our guide to laminate per m², and restoring old parquet in our guide to parquet sanding.

Who fits floors on Glatko

On 25 September 2026 Glatko had one verified contractor in the flooring category, in Tivat, with ten years of experience, who works in Turkish. None of the 25 requests the platform received between 24 April and 28 June 2026 concerned flooring. A registered contractor's invoice goes through the Tax Administration's electronic fiscalisation system, so ask for it.

What we did not measure

We read parquet prices at one seller: Okov had no parquet, and we could not search the KIPS range. We did not check the quality of the parquet or the work, cutting waste, the prices of skirting and underlay, or whether VAT is included in the labour prices.
