Sockets and light switches in Montenegro: prices of Schuko sockets, switches, surface IP44 and smart sockets from Schneider Asfora, TEM and Legrand (2026)
On 29 September 2026 a flush Schuko socket costs from €2.44 for Nopal at KIPS to €7.38 for a Schneider Asfora with a lid and IP44 protection in the same shop, with a median of €3.88 across 25 sockets. A light switch costs from €2.09 for Schneider Easy Style at Okov to €7.03 for a black TEM intermediate switch at KIPS, with a median of €3.22 across 35 switches, and a smart socket or timer socket from €4.99 to €18.99.
Replacing a socket or switch is a small job, but it needs the breaker switched off and some know-how, and for new wiring, extra sockets or renovating a flat on Glatko you can send a request for electrical work or construction and renovation work for free and without an account. So people look for bathroom and three phase sockets, outdoor switches and instructions on how to wire a switch.

Sockets and switches at Okov
At Okov the searches for utičnica and prekidač returned 16 sockets and switches for home wiring, with a median of €3.59. The Schneider Asfora Schuko socket costs €2.59, with a lid €3.19, with shutters €3.49 and the double one €3.69, while a Schuko socket with earthing and a lid costs €4.19 and a double one with a lid €8.99. The Asfora switch costs €2.59, the two way switch €3.09, the two circuit switch €3.29 and the one way switch with a locator light €5.19.
The Orno WiFi socket costs €10.99, the GoSmart with a timer €18.99 and Emos timer sockets €4.99 and €11.99. A 30 mA residual current device, which protects against electric shock, costs €43.90 at Okov, and an ACTI9 16 A circuit breaker €3.19.
Sockets and switches at KIPS
KIPS had 68 sockets and switches, with a median of €3.97. The Nopal Schuko socket costs €2.44, TEM Economic €2.56, white TEM from €3.24 to €3.88, black TEM from €4.38 to €6.81 and TEM with a clear lid €5.62, and Asfora €2.86 and with a lid and IP44 protection €7.38. The double Asfora costs €4.38, the TEM Economic double €5.92 and a TEM set with three sockets €14.38.
The TEM one way switch costs from €2.33 to €3.49, the two way from €2.85 to €4.05 and the intermediate from €3.86 to €7.03. The Asfora one way switch costs €3.02, two way €3.54, two circuit €3.88, intermediate €5.19 and key card switch €3.19, while Legrand Mosaic costs €3.39. A surface Schneider IP44 switch costs from €2.91 to €7.79, and a surface Schneider IP44 socket €4.87 and the double one €10.87. The TEM frame is paid separately, from €1.45 for a 1M frame to €3.82 for a 7M frame.
What to choose for which room
For a bedroom or hallway an ordinary earthed Schuko socket is enough, while in the kitchen and near water choose a socket with a lid. On a terrace, in a garage or cellar choose a surface socket and switch with IP44 or IP55 protection, because they resist splashing water. A double socket or a set saves space above the worktop and next to the TV, and a socket with child protection has shutters over the holes.
A one way switch turns one light on from one place, a two circuit switch two lights or two groups of bulbs, a two way switch one light from two places, for example at the top and bottom of stairs, and an intermediate switch from three or more places, together with two two way switches. With modular series such as TEM and Legrand the frame and cover are bought separately, so count the price of the complete set. Before replacing, switch off the breaker and check with a voltage tester that there is no power, and with old wiring without earthing call an electrician.

What the EU rules say about electrical equipment
The Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU says in Article 1 that it applies to electrical equipment with a voltage rating of 50 to 1000 V alternating and 75 to 1500 V direct current, other than the equipment in Annex II. Annex II expressly excludes plugs and socket outlets for domestic use, so there are no common EU rules for them and each country has its own standards. Light switches and smart sockets are within the scope of the directive, and Annex I requires equipment to be protected against electrical hazards, not to endanger people, domestic animals and property and to withstand foreseeable overload.
Montenegro is not an EU member, and the Schuko socket is the usual standard here. Buy sockets and switches from known makers with clearly marked current and voltage, for example 16 A and 250 V, and do not plug several powerful appliances into one socket at once.

- IP protection: IP44 or higher for a terrace, garage or bathroom.
- Switch type: one way, two circuit, two way or intermediate.
- Series: whether the frame and cover are bought separately.
- Markings: current and voltage on the mechanism.

We did not count industrial sockets, extension leads, cable sockets, TV and SAT sockets, cover plates, frames, circuit breakers or isolators, and at Okov the search showed only the first page of results. We took type and version from the product names. We did not measure contact quality or how many switching cycles a socket withstands.
