Ingco mains guns cost €8.39 for 100 W and €14.90 for 250 W, another gun €15.49, a Bison Hobby €21.70, and a 20 V Ingco cordless gun without a battery €15.99. Sticks cost from €1.15 to €15.90: Ingco €1.79 for 12 sticks of 7 mm and €15.90 for 33 sticks of 11 x 300 mm, and Bison €3.04 a pack.
What one stick and a kilogram cost
Thin 7 and 8 mm sticks in packs of 6 to 36 cost from €0.09 to €0.21 each, and thick 11 and 12 mm ones from €0.20 to €0.93 each, because they are longer and heavier. Per kilogram, the large pack is cheapest: a 1 kg Total costs €14.99 and an 880 g Rapid about €15.33 per kilogram, while small 115 g packs work out at about €30 to €43 per kilogram.
Before buying, check the diameter: a gun for 7 mm sticks does not take 11 mm sticks and vice versa. Rapid also sells special sticks for wood, ceramics and textiles, which hold better on those materials than universal ones.
Which gun to choose
For occasional repairs and decoration a small 60 to 100 W gun for 7 mm sticks is enough. For bigger jobs, mouldings and gluing wood an 11 mm gun with more power and faster heating is better, and a cordless one is handy when there is no socket nearby. A gun with adjustable temperature does not melt sensitive materials such as polystyrene.

What EU rules require for 230 V electrical tools
Directive 2014/35/EU on low-voltage equipment applies under Article 1 to electrical equipment with a voltage rating of between 50 and 1 000 V AC and between 75 and 1 500 V DC, so it covers 230 V mains glue guns. Under point 2 of Annex I, the equipment must not produce temperatures, arcs or radiation that would cause a danger.
Cordless guns from 3.7 to 20 V are below that voltage range, so general product safety rules apply to them, and specific battery rules to the battery. Montenegro is not an EU member, but tools from the EU come with the CE mark; buy a gun with the CE mark and instructions in a language you understand.

We did not count wood-repair sticks, liquid glues, holders and cool bags, and at Okov and KIPS we took only the first page of results. Where a pack does not state the number of sticks or the weight, we counted only the pack price. We did not measure melting temperature or glue strength.
