Ski Rental and Ski School in Montenegro: Prices in Kolašin and Žabljak (2026)

An adult ski set of skis, poles and boots rents for €15 a day and €81 for seven days at Kolašin 1600, and a children's set for €12 a day and €66 a week, according to the Montenegro Ski Resorts price list that was on their website on 25 September 2026. A course at the ski school of Ski Club Reljina in Kolašin costs €75 for beginners and €95 for advanced skiers, for 5 lessons of 60 minutes, and a helmet rents for €6 a day and is compulsory for everyone under 18.

In English it offered can you ski in montenegro and kolasin ski resort, and in Russian горнолыжный курорт колашин черногория (Kolašin ski resort Montenegro) and горнолыжный курорт жабляк черногория (Žabljak ski resort Montenegro). In Google Trends for Montenegro, kolašin had its highest interest over 12 months in the weeks of 4 and 11 January 2026, rising queries included web kamere kolašin 1600 (webcams) and kolašin 1600 live camera, with žabljak the rising query was visina snijega žabljak (snow depth Žabljak), and with ski pass the top related searches were jahorina ski pass and kopaonik ski pass.

Montenegro Ski Resorts publishes its rental price list as an image from December 2023, going by the file name, which was still on the page on 25 September 2026. A set consists of skis, poles and boots, and the price per day falls the longer you rent. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

Žabljak and Kolašin 1450

At Savin Kuk in Žabljak, equipment rented in the 2023/24 season for €12 for adults and €9 for children, up from €10 the season before, as Marinko Purić of the Durmitor Tourist Centre said, reported by Boka News. We did not find a newer published equipment price list for Žabljak. On the Kolašin 1450 website a day ski pass for the 2025/26 season costs €15 for adults and €12 for children, and on 25 September 2026 its equipment page said rental was not available.

Ski school

The ski school of Ski Club Reljina in Kolašin offers two courses of 5 lessons of 60 minutes each, with a discount for club members. By our calculation that is €15 per lesson for beginners and €19 per lesson for advanced skiers:

What the Ski Resorts Act says

Under the Ski Resorts Act (Official Gazette of Montenegro 13/07, 40/11 and 21/14), Article 43, people under 18 must wear a protective helmet on the ski run, so for a child without a helmet add €6 a day. Article 39 requires the ski centre to display the prices of equipment and services. Under Article 50 only a person with a licence from the national federation or an internationally recognised instructors' association may teach skiing, and under Article 51 a ski school must have municipal approval, accident insurance for its students and at least one licensed instructor, who wears clothing with the school's name and the word Instruktor.

Example: one and six days at Kolašin 1600

This is our calculation based on the 2025/26 ski pass price list and the equipment price list:

• One day, one adult: ski pass €25 and a set €15, €40 in total.
• One day, an adult and a child under 14: ski passes €41.50, sets €27 and a helmet for the child €6, €74.50 in total.
• Six days, an adult beginner: ski pass €95, a set €70 and course A €75, €240 in total.

What to ask before renting or booking a course

1. Whether a helmet is in the set, since at Kolašin 1600 it is paid separately.
2. What an additional day costs if you extend your stay.
3. Whether the instructor is licensed and wears the school's badge.
4. Whether students are insured against accidents.
5. How many students are in a group and how long a lesson lasts.

What we did not measure

The Kolašin 1600 equipment price list is an image from December 2023, and the Žabljak equipment price is from the 2023/24 season; by 25 September 2026 the resorts had not published prices for 2026/27. We found no published hourly prices for private lessons with an instructor, and we did not compare the quality of the equipment or the schools.
