Skadar Lake boat trips: prices of group and private tours from Virpazar, the national park fee, kayaks, tours from the coast and what pays off (2026)

A two-hour group boat trip on Skadar Lake from Virpazar cost €20 per person with Boat Milica on 26 September 2026, plus the €5 national park fee, while Kingfisher charged €22.15 for its two-hour tour with the fee included. A private boat for up to five people costs €30 to €35 an hour, and a three-hour tour with Kom monastery €32.15 per person. Children under 15 do not pay the park fee.

What people search for

On 26 September 2026 Google completed skadarsko jezero (Skadar Lake) with mapa (map), restoran (restaurant), dubina (depth), voznja brodom (boat ride), vremenska prognoza (weather forecast) and nacionalni park (national park), and in English skadar lake boat tour with price, virpazar, from budva, private and from kotor. According to Google Keyword Planner, skadarsko jezero and virpazar montenegro were searched in Montenegro, in Serbian, between 1,000 and 10,000 times a month from September 2025 to August 2026, virpazar between 10,000 and 100,000, and skadarsko jezero voznja brodom between 10 and 100 times.

Group tours from Virpazar

We read the prices on 26 September 2026 on the Boat Milica and Kingfisher websites, on the BoatBooker platform and on the Montenegro Pulse portal, which publishes its prices without a date. How we choose and label price sources is explained on our page on how we measure prices.

Kingfisher says its price has no hidden costs and includes the park fee. Boat Milica takes at most 12 tourists in a group. The season for group tours on BoatBooker runs from 1 April to 1 November and for private tours until 25 October, so out of season check whether tours run at all.

Private boat

Park fee, kayaks and birds

The Skadar Lake National Park fee is €5 per person per day and covers the visitor centres at Vranjina and in Virpazar, and the annual ticket for all five parks is €13.50. You can also buy the ticket in advance through the electronic ticket system on the Nacionalni parkovi Crne Gore website, and on the lake it is collected by a park ranger. Children under 15 do not pay, and free days and discounts are listed by Fijaka in its guide to national park fees.

• Park kayak: a single €3 and a double €5 an hour, and a full day €20; Kingfisher charges €12.15 for a kayak for an hour, park fee included.
• Park guide: €40 for four and €80 for eight hours.
• Birdwatching in the Pančevo oko reserve: an organised four-hour visit with transport and a guide costs €160 for four people and €240 for five to 12 people.
• Sport fishing: a park day permit €5, a seven-day one €20 and an annual one €100.

When a private boat pays off

• Two adults, two hours: a group tour with Boat Milica 2 × (€20 + €5) = €50, and with Kingfisher 2 × €22.15 = €44.30.
• Four adults, two hours: a private boat with Boat Milica 2 × €35 = €70 plus 4 × €5 = €20 in park fees, €90 in total or €22.50 per person, against 4 × €25 = €100 for a group tour.
• Six adults, three hours: a private boat with Boat Milica 3 × €40 = €120 plus 6 × €5 = €30, €150 in total or €25 per person.

From four people up, then, a private boat costs about the same as a group tour, and you choose the route and the departure time.

Tours from the coast

On 26 September 2026 Viator offered a six-hour Skadar Lake tour from Petrovac or Budva with lunch from €75 per person, transport included. On the same platform a three-hour tour of the lake and the Crnojević River with swimming, snacks and wine was from €37, and an eight-hour private wine tour from Budva from €341. Private boats and the law

In Virpazar rides are often offered by private boat owners too. Under the Law amending the Law on the Safety of Maritime Navigation, in force since 17 July 2026, a boat for personal use owned by a private individual must not be used for commercial passenger transport or for any transport in return for payment. So pay a company or a registered operator for your tour and ask for a receipt.

Glatko and lake tours

Within tourism and experiences Glatko has a category for boat tours, but on 26 September 2026 it had no verified operators from Skadar Lake. If you run tours, signing up as a professional on Glatko is free and commission-free, and prices of other services are in our price guide.

What we did not measure

We did not measure the prices of tours from Rijeka Crnojevića and Vranjina or restaurant prices in Virpazar. The prices on the Montenegro Pulse portal have no date, so check them when you book. We do not know whether Boat Milica gives children a discount on the ride. The prices are from a single day.
