Rubber boots in Montenegro: prices of rubber and PVC boots, S5 work boots, forestry boots and children's boots at Okov, KIPS and on Ananas (2026)

On 28 September 2026 rubber boots cost from €9.90 for Wellington PVC boots at Okov and €11.49 for Ginocchio at KIPS, and the median of 25 pairs in the three shops is €22.99. Pollino children's boots on Ananas cost €22.99, S5 safety work boots from €27.90, and Stihl forestry boots up to €108. Boots are searched for most in the second half of November.

What people search for and when

In Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months, the term cizme (boots), compared with usisivac (vacuum cleaner), averaged 26, while usisivac averaged 36. It peaked at 100 in the week from 23 November 2025, with 96 and 91 the weeks before and after, and from late February to mid-August 2026 it was 0. In September 2026 the values were 20, 52 and 42, so the season is already opening.

As rising queries Trends singled out moon boot cizme, hunter gumene cizme (Hunter rubber boots), loie cizme and mango cizme, all marked Breakout. On 28 September 2026 Google completed gumene cizme (rubber boots) with podgorica, za decu (for children), okov, crna gora (Montenegro), za zene crna gora (for women, Montenegro), za zene (for women), za devojcice (for girls), metro and za decake (for boys). So people search for children's and women's boots and the shop.

Boots at Okov

At Okov the first page of the search for gumene cizme had 13 pairs of rubber, PVC and safety boots, along with car mats and rubber wheels. The cheapest are Wellington PVC boots at €9.90, then Dunlop Pricemastor at €19.90 each, and the Lacuna Swampy and the Tigar tall work boot at €29.90 each. Pros thigh-high fishing waders cost €44.90.

S5 safety boots with a toe cap cost €27.90 for BC Safety, €32.90 for builder's boots and €34.90 for the Dunlop Work-it. Forestry boots cost €86.90 for class 1, and the Stihl Function €97.10 and €108. Ardon rubber clogs cost €7.99 instead of €12.90, and NEO €9.99. The median of the 13 pairs of boots at Okov is €29.90.

Boots at KIPS and on Ananas

At KIPS the search for gumene čizme returned six sizes of green Ginocchio boots, from 42 to 47, all at €11.49, and two car mats.

On Ananas the search for gumene čizme returned 20 results, but only six are rubber boots: Emtop at €12.80, green ones at €13, Verdemax at €18, Pollino crocodile children's boots and girls' boots at €22.99 each and Hunter girls' boots at €105.45. The rest are fashion and hiking boots, and Moon Boot, which Trends shows as a rising query, costs from €165 to €285.

Which boots for what

For the garden, rain and cleaning a basement, rubber or PVC boots from €9.90 to €29.90 are enough, and the median of 14 such pairs is about €12.15. On a building site you need S5 safety boots with a toe cap and a puncture-resistant sole, from €27.90. For a chainsaw there are forestry boots with cut protection, from €86.90 to €108.

Store rubber boots upright, somewhere dry and away from radiators, because rubber cracks in heat. After mud, rinse them with water and stuff newspaper inside so they dry overnight. If boots leak at the flex point, a patch rarely lasts long, so it is usually cheaper to buy new ones.

Rubber that touches the skin under EU rules

Regulation (EU) 1272/2013 supplemented entry 50 of Annex XVII to the REACH regulation. Consumer articles, among them footwear and clothing, may not have rubber or plastic parts in contact with the skin with more than 1 mg/kg of any of the listed polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). For toys and childcare articles the limit is 0.5 mg/kg, and the rules apply to products first placed on the market from 27 December 2015.

Montenegro is not an EU member, and PAHs cannot be seen. A strong tar or rubber smell in cheap boots is not proof, but it is a reason to air them before wearing, and for children choose boots from a known maker with the composition stated.

What to check before buying

1. The purpose: home and garden, S5 building site or chainsaw.
2. The size: for children a size up for socks.
3. A lining for cold days.
4. A sole that does not slip on wet tiles.
5. The maker and composition on children's boots.

We copied prices from Okov, KIPS and Ananas on the day we read them, with the pre-discount price where shown; the medians are ours. At Okov we read the first page of the search and removed car mats, wheels and leather boots, and from Ananas fashion and hiking boots. We did not measure PAH content or water resistance.
