Chainsaws in Montenegro: Prices of Petrol, Cordless and Electric Chainsaws at Okov, KIPS and on Ananas, Stihl on Sale and the Price per Horsepower (2026)
On 27 September 2026 a chainsaw in Montenegro costs from €99.99 for the Denzel DS-5820 at KIPS and the Fieldmann telescopic cordless saw on Ananas to €1,369 for the Stihl MS 661 at Okov. The median petrol chainsaw on Ananas is €125.31, and the median of all 23 chainsaws at Okov is €348.39, because Okov sells mostly Stihl. Okov had 12 of its 23 chainsaws on sale, so the Stihl MS 162 cost €153.99 instead of €177.

What people search for
In Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months the term motorna testera (chainsaw) did not have enough searches to get a value when compared with usisivac (vacuum cleaner), so we rely on search suggestions. On 27 September 2026 Google completed motorna testera with okov, na baterije (cordless), husqvarna 350 cena, stihl, lidl akcija (Lidl sale), cena (price), husqvarna, villager and stihl ms 180 cena. So people look for a brand, a cordless saw and the price of a specific model.

On Ananas a search for chainsaw gives 32 results, of which 19 are chainsaws and the rest chains, bars, files and toys. Petrol saws start at €101.82 for the AGM CS 4520, the Fieldmann FZP 45016-B costs €105, a 2.45 hp Nakayama €129.39 and the Nakayama PC5610 with a 50 cm bar €229. Most petrol saws are sold by ANANAS SHOP and Centrometal. The Bosch UniversalChain 35, the only corded electric one, costs €130.16.
Some cordless chainsaws are sold without battery and charger, as the listing states. The Bosch GKE 18V-40 Professional solo costs €351.75, the Bosch GKE 18V-15 €208.13, and EM Top cordless saws from €111.20 to €174.40. With such a saw you also need to budget for a battery, which is not in the price.
At Okov there are 23 chainsaws, from €139.90 for a 2.7 hp Graphite to €1,369 for the Stihl MS 661. The Alpina ACS 39 costs €169, the Einhell GC-PC 2040/1 €169.90 and the Hitachi CS51EAP €345.66 instead of €493.80. At KIPS there are three chainsaws: the Denzel DS-5820 for €99.99 instead of €129, one for €119 and one for €149.
Stihl by model and the price per horsepower
Okov offers 17 Stihl chainsaws, and 12 of the 23 saws were on sale. By our calculation, horsepower is cheapest in the smaller models:
- Stihl MS 162, 1.8 hp, 30 cm bar: €153.99 instead of €177, about €86 per hp.
- Stihl MS 172, 2.0 hp: €196.98 instead of €230.71, about €98 per hp.
- Stihl MS 182, 2.2 hp: €256.99 instead of €310, about €117 per hp.
- Stihl MS 212, 2.4 hp: €348.38 instead of €387.09, about €145 per hp.
- Stihl MS 250/C, 3.1 hp: €458.33 instead of €520, about €148 per hp.
- Stihl MS 462, 6.0 hp: €1,107.41 instead of €1,309, about €185 per hp.
- Stihl MS 661, 7.3 hp, 45 cm bar: €1,369, about €188 per hp.
Okov has the 3.5 hp Stihl MS 260 in two listings, for €739 and €771.
Accessories come with the saw. On Ananas a 5.5 mm chain file costs €1.50, a 1/4 inch Nakayama chain €17.20 and a set of chainsaw rubber parts €7.90 to €21. For larger amounts of firewood log splitters are also sold: a Maxpuls from the seller Plan C costs €359.21 and the Maxpuls MP-VLS030 €629.14. By our calculation, the Stihl MS 162 on sale, a spare chain for €17.20 and a file come to about €173, provided the chain fits the bar, and protective gear, gloves and a visor, comes on top. What EU rules require from the noise marking
Under Directive 2000/14/EC on noise from outdoor equipment, a portable chainsaw is among the equipment that must carry a marking of its guaranteed sound power level. The Directive defines it as a power-driven tool designed to cut wood with a saw chain, with handles, power source and cutting attachment in one compact unit, designed to be held with two hands. The marking shows how loud the saw is, but it does not replace hearing protection. Montenegro is not an EU member, so look for the marking on the saw itself before buying.
