Mould on the Walls in Montenegro: What a Treatment, an Anti-Mould Product or Paint and a Dehumidifier Cost (2026)

A professional mould treatment in Montenegro costs €3 per m² of wall and €4 per m² of ceiling, according to the price list of Keyfin Cleaning in Herceg Novi, updated on 10 May 2026. If you do it yourself, a mould remover at Okov cost from €7.49 on 25 September 2026, anti-mould paint from €6.99 for 2 litres, and a dehumidifier on Ananas from €114.75. The same Hisense D20HW dehumidifier cost €216, €229 or €269.41, depending on the shop and how you pay.

What people search for

On 25 September 2026 Google completed buđ na zidu (mould on the wall) with rešenje (solution), zdravlje (health), forum, iskustva (experiences), uzrok (cause) and krečenje (repainting), but also with mould colours, green, yellow and white. For buđ u stanu (mould in the flat) it suggested zdravlje (health), u novom stanu (in a new flat), i vlaga u stanu (and damp in the flat) and kako rešiti (how to solve it), and for premaz protiv buđi (anti-mould coating) na zidovima (on walls), pre krečenja (before painting), i vlage (and damp) and uradi sam (do it yourself). People also search for odvlaživač vazduha cijena (dehumidifier price) and odvlaživač vazduha podgorica (dehumidifier Podgorica). Anti-mould products, paint and silicone

A search for mould at Okov on 25 September 2026 returned 12 products: removers, protective treatments, paint and sanitary silicone. Alongside them are moisture absorbers, boxes of granules that collect damp in wardrobes and small rooms.

The 5-litre JUPOL CITRO, at €14.99, works out at €3 per litre, and the 2-litre tub at €3.50 per litre, so the larger tub pays off when you repaint a whole room. STOP mould silicone is for the joints around a bath or shower, where mould most often comes back.

Moisture absorbers for wardrobes and small rooms

An absorber is the cheaper solution for a wardrobe, a storeroom or a bathroom without a window. At Okov the cheapest, 500 ml, cost €1.49, while Humydry Basic 250 g cost €4.99, Premium 450 g €9.99 and Pylar 1 kg €12.99. A 1 kg refill was €5.99, less than half the price of a new Pylar of the same weight, so it pays to buy the container once and then only refills.

For a whole room an absorber is not enough; that is a job for a dehumidifier, and what matters there is the capacity in litres a day: the Lobod OL12 extracts 12 litres and the Hisense D20HW 20 litres in 24 hours.

Dehumidifiers

On 25 September 2026 Ananas had four dehumidifiers from three sellers, and we also found the same Hisense model at Datika:

The Hisense D20HW is the best example of how much comparing pays: on Ananas at Grmec it cost €216, while at Datika it was €269.41 at retail, or €229 with a 15% discount for paying in one go. The gap between the lowest and highest price for the same device was €53.41.

Example: a 3 × 4 m room with mould on one wall

This is our calculation for a room with mould on one outside wall of 4 × 2.60 m, that is 10.4 m²:

• Professional, at Keyfin's rates: treating the wall 10.4 × €3 = €31.20, plus ozone treatment of the 12 m² room for €12, €43.20 in total.
• Yourself: a remover from €7.49 and a 2-litre tub of JUPOL CITRO for €6.99, €14.48 in total, without labour.
• Against damp: the cheapest dehumidifier at €114.75, or a moisture absorber from €1.49 to €12.99 for a smaller room.

Why mould comes back

Mould grows where there is damp, so a remover and paint treat the effect, not the cause. Who does this on Glatko

On 25 September 2026 Glatko had no professionals in the mould removal category and four in its cleaning categories: two in Budva and one each in Bar and Podgorica. A registered company's invoice goes through the Tax Administration's electronic fiscalisation system.

What to ask a company

1. Whether the price is per m² of wall or per room, and who measures the area.
2. Whether ozone treatment is included or charged separately.
3. Whether the company looks for the cause of the damp, because without that the mould comes back.
4. How long you must stay out of the room after ozone treatment.
5. Whether the same company repaints after the treatment.

What we did not measure

We found a treatment price at only one company, in Herceg Novi. We did not check how effective each product is, or how many m² a litre of paint covers. We compared dehumidifiers only on Ananas and one model at Datika.
