A lunch box costs from €4.99, and a glass container from €3.28.

Plastic and glass containers on Ananas
On Ananas the search for posude za hranu (food containers) returned 240 results, and 69 food storage containers and lunch boxes remained after we removed pet bowls, mats, spice jars, tableware, appliances and bulk takeaway containers. The Curver Fresh&Go costs €1.32 for 0.5 l, €1.51 for 1 l, €2.18 for 2 l and €2.66 for 3 l, and a set of three boxes of 0.5, 1 and 2 l €4.77. Lamart boxes cost from €2.99 and sets from €10.99 to €16.99, with the same LT6012 set at €16.99 and €18.70 at two sellers.
Domy glass containers cost €4.31 for 400 ml, €5.05 for 650 ml and €13.01 for 2.44 l, Sigma €4.94 for 400 ml and €5.84 for 900 ml, and a set of three Jata glass containers €27. Metalac enamel containers cost from €10.79 for 0.75 l to €14.54 for 1.7 l. A 0.8 l Status vacuum container costs €4.80 and €9.78, and Status sets with a hand pump €33.15 for four and €37.40 for three containers. Insulated food containers cost from €13.49 (Sigma) to €25.20 (Jata, 750 ml).
Lunch boxes
There were 20 lunch boxes, from €4.99 to €22.99, with a median of €8.99. A Coolpack lunch box costs from €4.99 to €8.99, and Top Model from €8.99 to €11.99. Stainless steel lunch boxes cost €20.99 (Top Model) and €22.99 (Princess Mimi), four times the cheapest Coolpack box.
Okov and KIPS
At Okov the first search page had 31 food storage containers, from €0.59 to €16.99, with a median of €5.29, and eight were discounted. A 700 ml Eco container costs €0.59 instead of €0.89, a 1.1 l Curver Smart Flexi €2.99 instead of €4.99, and Rotho Loft from €4.29 for 1.5 l to €6.49 for 3.2 l. Luminarc PURE Box Active glass containers cost from €3.28 for 380 ml to €11.90 for 1.45 l. A BergHoff Leo vacuum set with a device costs €13.99, and an Alpina set of four €16.99.
At KIPS food boxes cost from €0.83 to €4.88, among them a 1.8 l Sigma for €2.18 and a 2.8 l one for €2.54, and a set of three glass and bamboo containers €12.99. The median for nine boxes is €2.54, and the other results were junction boxes, tool boxes, barrels and pet bowls.
Price per litre and takeaway containers
By our calculation, the 3 l Curver Fresh&Go costs €0.89 per litre and the 0.5 l one €2.64, three times more. The 3.2 l Rotho Loft costs €2.03 per litre, and the 2.44 l Domy glass container €5.33 per litre, six times the 3 l Curver. A set of three vacuum containers with a pump costs €13.99 (BergHoff at Okov) and €37.40 (Status on Ananas).

What the EU requires of plastic that touches food
Article 12 of Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 on plastic food contact materials provides that plastic may not release more than 10 mg of total constituents per square decimetre of surface into a food simulant, and containers for food for infants and young children no more than 60 mg per kilogram of simulant. Under Article 15, at all marketing stages other than retail, plastic containers must come with a written declaration of compliance. Montenegro is not an EU member, and a shopper does not receive that declaration in the shop, so look on the container for the food-contact mark and instructions for the microwave and fridge.

On 27 September 2026 Glatko had three verified catering and food providers, two from Budva and one from Herceg Novi, two of whom also offer home cooking.
What to check before buying
- The material: plastic, glass, enamel or stainless steel.
- The lid: a seal, click closure or vacuum.
- The food-contact mark and instructions for the microwave, fridge and dishwasher.
- The price per litre, not just per piece.
- The same set at several sellers on Ananas.
How we measured and what we did not measure
We copied prices from Ananas, Okov and KIPS on the day we read them, with the pre-discount price where shown; the groups, medians and price per litre are ours. We took capacity from the name. At Okov we read the first search page, and at KIPS we removed junction boxes, tool boxes, barrels and pet bowls. We did not measure sealing, heat resistance or migration.
