Handles at Okov
At Okov the first page of the search for kvaka had 32 handles. The cheapest is an MVM handle on a long backplate for a key at €4.99, then a Kvatex handle on a rosette for metal doors at €5.49. MVM handles without a rosette cost from €5.99 to €7.49, and black MVM ones from €5.99 to €9.99. A Vabis handle for aluminium doors costs €9.99.
The Hoppe Milano on a key rosette costs €7.99, the Dublin €11.49 and the Utrecht €11.90. The Fimet Polo costs €10.90, the Irlanda €13.90, the Mirage and Shape €18.90 each, and a black 1317 €19.90. Stublina handles with an 8x8 mm spindle and a length of 140 mm cost €12.49 each, and a straight white one €12.99. A handle on a backplate for a 92 mm cylinder costs €13.99, and black Amig handles from €14.90 to €16.90 for an 85 mm long backplate. The most expensive are the Apecs 4109 in polished brass at €22.90 and the matt black Apecs Regulus at €25.90.
Handles at KIPS
At KIPS the search for kvaka returned 50 results, of which 45 door handles, the rest being a window handle and products that are not handles. The cheapest are the Perth FI-50 in satin nickel at €6.75 and the Manilla on a key rosette at €7.05, then a handle for PVC entrance doors at €8.49 and a bronze-coloured Bane handle on a backplate at €8.59.
Yuksel key handles cost from €11.75 to €11.95, and Yuksel handles on a backplate from €14.59 to €19.60. Gamet handles cost from €13.69 to €17.65. Milly and Asti handles on a backplate cost from €20.95 in matt black and satin chrome to €31.85 for a two-tone Asti. A Socool Doors handle for flush doors costs €24.99 for the left or right, and the Modern set €37.99.
How to measure the door
Before buying, check whether the door has rosettes, small round covers around the handle and separately around the keyhole, or a long backplate that joins both. With a backplate, measure the distance from the handle axis to the keyhole or cylinder axis, because the pack states it, for example 85, 90 or 92 mm. Also check the spindle, the square bar that passes through the lock, which on interior doors is most often 8x8 mm, and the thickness of the door leaf.
For locks with an ordinary key you take a key rosette or backplate, for a cylinder with a key a cylinder backplate, and for a bathroom a WC version with a turn. Handles for metal, aluminium and PVC doors have a different spindle length and shape, so do not mix them up with interior ones. Replacing a handle takes a few minutes and needs only a screwdriver, but if the key turns stiffly, the problem is in the lock, not the handle. Brass and stainless steel keep their colour longer than coated zinc alloy handles, and matt black and satin finishes show fewer fingerprints. A handle with a spring in the rosette returns the lever to horizontal even when the spring in the lock wears out.
What the EU requires of the seller
In Article 25, Regulation (EU) 2024/3110 on construction products requires the distributor to check before selling whether the product, where required, bears the CE marking and a declaration of performance and conformity, and whether it has instructions and safety information in a language the buyer understands. This obligation has applied since 8 January 2026.
An ordinary handle for an interior door is usually not such a product, but hardware for doors on emergency exits is, so for business premises ask for the documentation. Montenegro is not an EU member, but even for an ordinary handle the pack should state the manufacturer and the contents, for example the screws and the spindle.
