Chimneys in Montenegro: Flue Pipe Prices per Metre, Chimney Fans, Soot Doors and Chimney Sweeping (2026)

A flue pipe from the stove to the chimney costs in Montenegro from €6.50 a metre for a painted 120 mm pipe at Okov to €54.99 a metre for a 180 mm pipe at KIPS, at prices of 25 September 2026. A chimney fan at Okov costs from €34.90, a soot door from €16.49 and a chimney brush from €1.69. Chimney sweeping by the Housing Agency in Podgorica cost in 2022 from €20 to €40 plus VAT, and the sellers we checked do not publish prices for chimney blocks or stainless steel chimneys.

What people search for

On 25 September 2026 Google completed dimnjak cijena (chimney price) with po metru (per metre), blokovi za dimnjak cijena crna gora (chimney blocks price Montenegro), schiedel dimnjak cijena and inox dimnjak cijena (stainless chimney price), and inox dimnjak cijena with the diameters fi 130, fi 160, fi 180 and fi 200 and with inox kapa za dimnjak cijena (stainless chimney cap price). Blokovi za dimnjak (chimney blocks) came with cijena crna gora and podgorica, kapa za dimnjak (chimney cap) with crna gora and uradi sam (DIY), and čišćenje dimnjaka (chimney cleaning) with cijena (price), od smole (of tar) and bez penjanja na krov (without climbing the roof). People also search for dimnjak za peć na pelete cijena (chimney for a pellet stove, price) and dimnjacar podgorica (chimney sweep Podgorica). Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months shows schiedel dimnjak and inox dimnjak as the fastest-rising queries around dimnjak.

Flue pipes and bends

A flue pipe connects the stove or cooker to the chimney. Okov sells painted and enamelled pipes of 120 and 150 mm, and KIPS pipes from 80 to 180 mm and bends with a cleaning opening. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

The same diameter in two shops is not the same product: KIPS's 120 mm pipe costs €31.79 a metre more than Okov's, and neither shop gives the sheet thickness for those two pipes. The pipe diameter is set by the stove's outlet, so check it in the manual before you buy.

Chimney fan, cap, soot door and rosette

A cap or a fan goes on top of the chimney, and at the bottom a soot door through which the soot is taken out. On the day we checked we found no cap for a masonry chimney at either Okov or KIPS; Okov only has a flue pipe with a cap.

The 140 mm fan was on offer at €34.90 instead of €47.90, which made it cheaper than the 120 mm model at €42.90. With the fan Okov gives a warning that flue pipes should be checked and cleaned regularly because of the fire risk.

Chimney cleaning: a sweep or yourself

The only published chimney sweep price we found is from Podgorica. The director of the Housing Agency told DAN on 10 August 2022 that chimney cleaning costs from €20 to €40 plus VAT, depending on the type of blockage, the scope of work and the number of floors, and that the Agency has one chimney sweep. Private sweeps such as Dimnjačar.me, with more than two decades of work in Podgorica and on the coast, do not publish prices.

For cleaning it yourself, on 25 September 2026 Okov had eight chimney brushes from 25 to 200 mm, from €1.69 to €4.29, and flexible polypropylene cleaning rods at €3.50 for 1 m and €4.99 for 2 m, and KIPS had the Dimnjačar Flammat product at €3.09.

Chimney blocks and stainless chimneys: no published price

None of the sellers we checked publishes a per-metre price for a masonry or stainless steel chimney. ART BETON in Podgorica makes chimney and ventilation blocks of vibro-pressed concrete, with one, two or three openings, and casings for fireclay pipes. Mikromont in Bijelo Polje lists 46 Schiedel stainless steel sets of 130, 150, 180 and 200 mm, 24 wall-mounted and 22 free-standing, marked "price on request". For a quote, send the chimney height, the outlet diameter and the type of stove.

Example: connecting a 120 mm stove

This is our own calculation for 1.5 m of pipe and one bend, using only the prices in the table:

• Okov: 1 m pipe €6.50, 0.5 m pipe €4.70 and a bend €4.90, a total of €16.10.
• KIPS: 1 m pipe €38.29, 0.5 m pipe €23.19 and an adjustable bend with an opening €46.99, a total of €108.47.

Part of the €92.37 difference comes from the bend, because the KIPS one has a cleaning opening and can be adjusted. What wood and pellet stoves themselves cost is shown in our guides to wood stoves and pellet stoves.

A chimney in an apartment building

In a building the chimney is a common part, governed by the Law on the Maintenance of Residential Buildings. Under Article 10 cleaning chimneys and flues is regular maintenance, under Article 11 rebuilding chimneys and flue ducts is necessary work, and under Article 12 repairing chimney damage is urgent work that the building manager must arrange without delay. If the building has no management bodies, the owners arrange urgent work themselves and pay at actual cost, in proportion to the floor area of their flats. Who does this on Glatko

On 25 September 2026 Glatko had one verified provider in the rough construction category, in Budva, and 23 across the whole renovation and construction category. There is no category for chimney sweeps. A registered firm's invoice goes through the Tax Administration's electronic fiscalisation system.

What to ask the tradesman or sweep

1. What diameter the stove outlet is and how many metres of pipe and bends are needed.
2. Whether the bend has a cleaning opening, so the pipe can be cleaned without taking it down.
3. Whether VAT is included in the cleaning price and whether the price depends on the floor.
4. How the chimney is inspected before the first fire and what happens if it is blocked.
5. Whether a repair in a building is urgent work that the building pays for, not you.

What we did not measure

We found the sweep price in only one source, from 2022. We did not measure the sheet thickness, quality or lifespan of the pipes, and we could not compare chimney blocks and stainless chimneys because their prices are not published. The pipe and fitting prices come from two shops, Okov and KIPS.
