Chandeliers in Montenegro: Prices of Chandeliers and Pendant Lights at Okov, KIPS and Ananas, LED or Classic Bulbs, Ceiling Hooks and Installation by an Electrician (2026)

On 26 September 2026 a chandelier in Montenegro costs from €49.90 at Okov, where the median of 19 chandeliers is €119.90 and the most expensive, the Globo Dunja, is €499. KIPS sells 111 chandeliers and pendant lights from €12.99 to €362.49, with a median of €65.99, and on Ananas the median of the 189 listings we read is €51.10. A ceiling hook at Okov costs €4.55, and a wall plug with a ceiling hook €3.40.

What people search for

On 26 September 2026 Google completed luster (chandelier) with lusteri podgorica (chandeliers Podgorica), lusteri crna gora (chandeliers Montenegro), lusteri okov, lusteri za dnevni boravak (for the living room), lusteri gintas podgorica, luster ventilator and luster sa ventilatorom (chandelier with a fan). Google Trends for Montenegro shows chandeliers searched much less often than washing machines, but people search for a specific shop and town, which means they are close to buying.

Prices by shop

Okov has 19 chandeliers in a search for chandelier, along with lampholders and hanging fittings, KIPS has 111 chandeliers and pendants out of 122 results, and on Ananas a search for chandelier gives 3,933 results, of which we read the first 192. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

At Okov the one-bulb Jason chandelier costs €49.90, the three-bulb Romantica €49.90, the five-bulb Odin €129, the eight-bulb Juliet €229 and the Ideal Lux Pegaso €399. At KIPS the cheapest are one-bulb pendants from €12.99, and the most expensive the Wilkinson LED pendants at €336.49 and €362.49. On Ananas most listings, 167 of 189, are from Ananas Shop, mostly under the Opviq brand, and MASS-light has 20.

A chandelier for each room

For the living room, which is the room most often searched together with chandeliers, people usually choose a larger chandelier with several bulbs or an LED pendant, ideally with a dimmer, so the light can be bright for reading and soft in the evening. In the dining room a pendant goes over the table and is lowered just enough not to dazzle those sitting there. In the bedroom warm white light suits better than cool white, such as the 3000K of the Esme LED pendant at KIPS for €229.99. In the bathroom choose a fitting meant for damp rooms rather than an ordinary chandelier.

Classic or LED bulbs

Many chandeliers have lampholders for bulbs, while at KIPS 36 chandeliers and pendants name an LED source. Under Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/2015 the energy label of a light source shows the energy class and consumption in kWh per 1,000 hours of use, so bulbs can be compared before buying.

How much electricity a chandelier uses

This is our calculation at the EPCG higher tariff of 11.5462 cents per kWh, without VAT and fixed charges, for a five-bulb chandelier that is on four hours a day:

• With five 40 W bulbs: 5 x 40 W x 4 hours x 365 days = 292 kWh a year, about €33.71.
• If each LED bulb is 5 W: 36.5 kWh a year, about €4.21.

The wattage of an LED bulb depends on the model, so read it on the box; the drop in consumption when switching from classic to LED bulbs is large whatever the exact model.

How a chandelier is hung

A heavy chandelier must not hang from the wire alone. At Okov a ceiling hook costs €4.55, and a wall plug with a ceiling hook €3.40 for a pack of two or four, while E14 and E27 lampholders cost €1.49 to €1.59. Montenegro is a seismic area: Fijaka notes in its article on earthquakes that the coast and its hinterland are rated IX on the MCS scale, the highest hazard in the country, and that the strongest recorded earthquake, on 15 April 1979, had a magnitude of 7.0. So a good hook fixed into the ceiling matters more than the look of the chandelier.

Installation and wiring

A chandelier connects to the existing ceiling outlet, with the circuit breaker switched off. What to check before buying

1. Ceiling height and chandelier diameter, so it does not hang too low over the table.
2. The type and number of lampholders, E14 or E27, and whether bulbs are included.
3. Built-in LED or bulbs, and the consumption on the label.
4. The chandelier's weight and the hook to hang it.
5. Dimming, if you want a dimmer.
