On 25 September 2026 wooden attic ladders at Okov cost from €129.90 on sale for a 70 × 110 cm Minka Tradition to €179.90, and wooden Fakro ladders at KIPS €166.39 to €176.29. Minka Steel ladders at Okov cost €289.90, metal Fakro ones at KIPS €341.49 to €391.09, and Harmo-lux scissor ladders and other models for heights up to 270 cm €389 to €429. The most expensive at Okov are the Minka Euro Star and the 80 × 80 cm model, at €429 each.

Minka Steel ladders cost the same, €289.90, in all four sizes, and the models up to 270 cm almost all cost €399; the exceptions are the 70 × 100 cm Harmo-lux at €389 and the 80 × 80 cm one at €429.

KIPS in Podgorica sells Fakro attic ladders:

The 70 × 120 cm wooden Fakro at KIPS, at €176.29, is €2.71 cheaper than the wooden Minka Tradition of the same size at Okov, at €179, but dearer than the 70 × 110 cm Minka on sale.

What the sizes on the box mean

The label 70 × 120/280 means a ceiling opening of 70 × 120 cm and a room height of up to 280 cm, which is how far the ladder reaches. So first measure the existing opening and the height from floor to ceiling: if the opening is smaller, scissor ladders such as the Harmo-lux, which Okov also has for a 60 × 70 cm opening, are an option. If the room is higher than the height on the box, the ladder will not reach the floor, and if it is lower, wooden folding ladders are usually cut to length.

Which sizes exist

For anyone searching for tavanske stepenice dimenzije (attic ladder dimensions) it helps to know which sizes the shops stock. At Okov the wooden Minka Tradition comes in 60 × 110, 70 × 110 and 70 × 120 cm, the Steel in 60 × 110, 60 × 120, 70 × 110 and 70 × 120 cm, the Euro Star in 70 × 120 and 80 × 80 cm, and the models up to 270 cm in nine sizes, from 60 × 70 to 80 × 80 cm. At KIPS the wooden Fakro comes in 60 × 111, 60 × 120, 70 × 111 and 70 × 120 cm, and the metal one in 60 × 90 and 70 × 120 cm.

Wooden, steel or scissor

Wooden folding ladders are the cheapest and have three sections that fold into the hatch. Steel ones cost more but cope better with damp and frequent use, and scissor ladders fold like an accordion and need the least space in the attic. 1. How big the opening and the room height are, and whether the ladder is cut to length.
2. What the ladder's load rating is and how wide the treads are.
3. Whether the hatch has a seal and insulation.
4. Who makes or widens the opening and what happens with the joists.
5. What installation costs and whether finishing the opening's edges is included.
