A 750 W, 115 mm Graphite costs €44.90, the Einhell TC-AG 125/850 €49.90, and the Bosch GWS 7-125 €59.25 instead of €79 and the GWS 750-125 €59.93 instead of €79.90. The Bosch GWS 9-125 S costs €81.75 instead of €109, the GWS 1400 €111.75 instead of €149, and DeWalt €99.90 for 950 W and €169.90 for 1400 W. Large 230 mm grinders cost €129.90 for the Hikoki G23SWU, €134.25 instead of €179 for the Bosch GWS 2200 and €209.25 instead of €279 for the 2700 W Bosch GWS 27-230 JR.

Cordless ones cost €54.90 for an 18 V W.Best without battery and €59.90 for the Graphite Energy+, while the Bosch GWS 18V-8 costs €134.25 instead of €179 and the GWS 18V-11 PS €171.75 instead of €229, both without battery and charger. Which grinder to choose

A 115 or 125 mm grinder is light and enough for metal, tiles and small jobs around the house, while a 230 mm one cuts deeper but is heavy and needs both hands and experience. Speed control is used for tiles, stone and polishing, where full speed overheats the disc and the material. A cordless grinder has no cable, but it is often sold without battery and charger, so add those to the price.

The disc must suit the material you cut and the grinder's speed, and never remove the guard. Wear safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and a mask when cutting concrete or stone, because the dust goes straight towards your face. What the EU says about hand-arm vibration

In Article 3(1), Directive 2002/44/EC on vibration at work sets, for vibration transmitted to the hand and arm, a daily exposure limit value of 5 m/s² and an action value of 2.5 m/s², both standardised to an eight-hour reference period. When the action value is exceeded, the employer must take measures to reduce exposure.

Montenegro is not an EU member, but the same rule applies to work at home: an angle grinder vibrates strongly, so take breaks, hold it with both hands by both handles and do not press the disc harder than needed. Look up the vibration value for your model in the manufacturer's instructions.

We copied prices from Okov, KIPS and Ananas on the day we read them, with the pre-discount price where shown; the medians are ours. At Okov we took the first page of the search, at KIPS we removed baskets, sofas, brackets and other products with the word angle, and on Ananas stands, keys, sandpaper, a pneumatic grinder, wall and concrete grinders and drill combo kits. We did not measure noise or vibration.
