Irons in Montenegro: Prices of Steam Irons, Steam Generators, Garment Steamers and Travel Irons at KIPS, Okov and on Ananas (2026)

On 26 September 2026 an iron in Montenegro costs from €14.99 for the VOX DBL 5010 on Ananas, and a steam iron at Okov from €19.99 for the Sencor SSI 6110GD, reduced from €29.90. A garment steamer starts at €32.99 and a steam generator at €60.35. The same Gorenje SIH3000RBC costs €46.49 at KIPS, €52.20 at two sellers on Ananas and €68.75 at ANANAS SHOP.

What people search for

According to Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months, the term pegla (iron) had an average index of 12.9, against 55.7 for usisivac (vacuum cleaner) in the same comparison. On 26 September 2026 Google completed pegla with na paru (steam), za vertikalno peglanje (for vertical steaming), sa parnom stanicom (with a steam generator) and za ves (for laundry), and pegla na paru za vertikalno peglanje (steam iron for vertical steaming) with crna gora. For parna stanica (steam generator) it offered tefal, gorenje, okov, temaso and iskustva (experiences). Besides an ordinary iron, then, people are looking for garment steamers and steam generators.

Steam irons

On the marketplace Ananas a search for iron gives 246 results, along with toys, boards, covers and hair straighteners. Irons cost from €14.99 for the VOX DBL 5010 and €17 for a 2200 W Tesla steam iron, through €27.20 for the Tefal FV1713 and €45 for the Gorenje SIH2600BLC, to €103.70 for the Electrolux E8SI2-8OG and €107.10 for the Tefal FV8065E0.

At Okov irons cost from €19.99 for the Sencor SSI 6110GD, through €29.90 for the Braun TexStyle 1 and Tefal Virtuo 30 and €39.90 for the Rowenta Effective+ instead of €59.99, to €124.90 for the Tefal Ultimate Pure Steam. At KIPS the Gorenje SIH1800TQC costs €28.49, the Tefal FV2835E0 €37.99 and the Rowenta DW5310D1 €89.99. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

Steam generators, garment steamers and travel irons

• Garment steamers: Sencor SSI 0850RS €32.99, Gorenje GS2100BKV €36, Tefal at KIPS from €44.99 to €157.49 for the IT3480E1, Electrolux E7US1-4MN €140.25.
• 2-in-1 iron and steamer: Sencor SSI 0880BZ €69.90 and Tefal Duo Power €74.90 at Okov.
• Travel irons: Sencor SSI 1050GR €19.99, ECG NZ 210 €21.99 at Okov, Gorenje SIH1100TBT from €21.60, a 1100 W First €24.49 at KIPS.

A steam generator has a separate tank and gives more steam, so it is faster for bed linen and shirts, but it is bigger and more expensive. A garment steamer irons clothes on a hanger and is good for curtains and jackets, but it does not make sharp creases like an iron on a board.

With an iron you also need a board. At KIPS the 30x74 cm Mini ironing board costs €16.99, the 30x105 cm Perilla Eko Class €32.49, and the 130x45 cm Leifheit Airboard Expres Maxx €117.49. On Ananas Čistunica sells boards from €19.99, and the Lamart LT8039 costs €35.99 at ANANAS SHOP and €38.25 at Tehno Plus. A board cover at KIPS costs from €2.99, reduced from €4.49, to €21.99 for Leifheit. A board 38 to 45 cm wide makes ironing bed linen easier.

Same model, different price

We found ten models at two or more sellers, at KIPS, Okov and on Ananas. For Gorenje the highest price is always at ANANAS SHOP.

The biggest gap is for the Gorenje SIH3000RBC, €22.26, and for the SIH2800TQC €20.70. On an iron of around thirty euros, a gap of €15 to €20 means the same appliance costs half as much again at one seller as at another.

Safety and power

A 230 V iron is electrical equipment to which, in the EU, Directive 2014/35/EU on low voltage applies, covering equipment from 50 to 1000 V alternating current; so look for the CE mark on the rating plate and box. The power of irons in listings ranges from 1100 W for travel irons to 3200 W for stronger models. More power heats the soleplate faster and gives more steam, but a 3200 W iron on the same extension lead as another powerful appliance can trip a fuse.

Iron or service

For a household that irons a few shirts a week, a steam iron for €25 to €40 is enough. For a holiday apartment with frequent linen changes, a steam generator or a service makes more sense. 1. The price of the same model at several sellers, not only similar models.
2. The type of appliance: iron, steam generator or garment steamer.
3. Power and steam output in grams per minute.
4. Anti-scale protection and automatic shut-off.
5. The CE mark on the rating plate and box.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from Ananas, KIPS and Okov on the day we read them, including prices before discount where shown; the comparisons are ours. We did not measure steam output, soleplate temperature or consumption, and we left hair straighteners and pipe-welding irons out of the comparison.
