Bathroom Exhaust Fans in Montenegro: Prices of 100 mm and 120 mm Fans at Okov and KIPS, with Backdraft Flap, Timer and Humidity Sensor, Ducts and Running Cost (2026)

On 26 September 2026 a bathroom fan in Montenegro costs from €9.63 for an in-line 100 mm fan at KIPS to €101.49 for a 120 mm Vortice in the same shop. A model with a backdraft flap costs from €12.21, and one with a timer and humidity sensor from €26.99 at Okov. By our calculation, a 15 W fan running an hour a day uses about €0.63 of electricity a year, and a 98 m³/h model changes the air in a 10 m³ bathroom in about six minutes.

What people search for

The electrician's labour is not included, because we did not find a published price for fitting a fan.

How much electricity it uses

At the EPCG higher-tariff price of 11.5462 cents per kWh, without VAT and fixed charges:

• A 15 W fan, one hour a day: 0.015 kW × 30 h = 0.45 kWh a month, about €0.05; about €0.63 a year.
• Air change: a 2 × 2 m bathroom with a 2.5 m ceiling holds 10 m³, so a 98 m³/h fan such as the MTG A-100 N changes the air in about six minutes, if the ducts do not reduce the flow.

Why it matters

The World Health Organization's guidelines on indoor dampness and mould from 2009 state that damp and mould increase respiratory symptoms, allergies and asthma, and that the key is to prevent persistent dampness. If you live in an apartment building

A wall fan needs an opening in the outer wall, and in a building the façade is a common part. RoNa Legal explains in its article on apartment ownership that the façade with its windows and doors and the chimneys are common parts of the building, and that an owner must remove without delay any defect in their own part that damages others. So before drilling through the façade, talk to the building manager, and if the fan connects to a shared duct, check that the air does not flow back into a neighbour's bathroom.

What to check before buying

1. The opening diameter: 100, 120 or 125 mm.
2. Flow in m³/h for the volume of the bathroom.
3. A backdraft flap, so that cold air and smells do not come in from outside.
4. A timer or humidity sensor, if the fan should keep running after you leave.
5. IPX4 or IP45 water protection and noise, if the bathroom is next to a bedroom.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from Okov and KIPS on the day we read them, and the technical data from the product names. The electricity cost and air change are our own calculation and do not account for duct resistance. We did not measure fan noise, did not check Woby Haus, which Google suggests, and did not find a published price for installation.
