Ladders in Montenegro: Prices of Step, Wooden, Telescopic and Three-Section Aluminium Ladders at KIPS, Okov and on Ananas, and the Price per Metre (2026)

On 27 September 2026 a ladder in Montenegro costs from €19.99 for a two-step household step ladder at Okov to €629.90 for the 10.25 m three-section Tribilo. Telescopic ladders start at €67.99 and three-section aluminium ladders at €102.99, both at KIPS, where all 33 ladders were about 20 percent off. Per metre of length, three-section ladders cost from about €19.90 at KIPS to about €61.45 at Okov.

What people search for

In Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months the term merdevine (ladder) did not have enough searches to get a value when compared with usisivac (vacuum cleaner), so we rely on search suggestions. On 27 September 2026 Google completed merdevine with okov, kips, za bazen (for a pool), crna gora, aluminijumske (aluminium), podgorica and cungu. So people look for a specific shop, aluminium ladders and pool ladders.

Prices by ladder type

How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

At KIPS there are 33 ladders, almost all Kollmax, and all had a price before discount. A 97 cm steel step ladder costs €23.99 instead of €29.99, a 112 cm aluminium step ladder €29.49 instead of €36.99, and a 210 cm one €59.99 instead of €74.99. A 225 cm single ladder costs €33.99, a 580 cm two-section €109.99, a 260 cm telescopic €67.99 and a 440 cm one €126.99. Three-section ladders go from €102.99 for 421 cm to €198.99 for 1,000 cm. Wood-AS wooden ladders cost from €33.99 for three steps to €69.99 for seven.

At Okov there are 30 ladders. The OK two-step ladder costs €19.99, the Wireking three-step €34.90 and Corda step ladders €44.90 to €74.90. Žaže wooden ladders cost from €54.90 for 134 cm to €99.90 for 246 cm, Dopplo double-sided ladders €69.90 to €104.90, and three-section ladders from €149.90 for the 4.85 m Corda to €629.90 for the 10.25 m Tribilo.

On Ananas a search for ladder gives 64 results, and Centrometal offers the most ladders, from Maurer and Bormann. Two-step steel ladders cost from €24, the Bormann three-section 3x7 of 476 cm €211.50 and the 3x11 of 812 cm €286. Pool ladders cost from €109 to €899, and the 2.6 m Fieldmann telescopic €85.

Articulated multi-purpose ladders can also work as a platform or a long ladder: the ModernHome 4x3 at GROUP TRADE costs €144.50, and the Monto 4x3 with platform at Okov €299.90. The Besteels three-step metal platform on Ananas costs €119, and KIPS has a five-step shelving platform for €580.39 instead of €843.45.

Price per metre and the same model

By our calculation, three-section ladders are cheapest per metre at KIPS: the 1,000 cm Kollmax for €198.99 is about €19.90 per metre. The 812 cm Bormann on Ananas costs about €35.22 per metre, and the 10.25 m Tribilo at Okov about €61.45. The shorter 477 cm Kollmax two-section costs €94.99, also about €19.91 per metre.

We found the same Maurer telescopic ladders at Okov and at Centrometal on Ananas. The Maurer 4+4 steps, 1.15 to 3.77 m, costs €89.90 at Okov and €99 on Ananas, and the Maurer 5+5, 1.42 to 4.82 m, €139.90 at Okov and €148 on Ananas. Okov is cheaper in both cases, by €9.10 and €8.10.

What EU rules require when using ladders

Directive 2009/104/EC on the use of work equipment sets out in Annex II how ladders are used at work. Ladders must be positioned so that they are stable, and portable ladders must rest on a stable, strong and immobile footing so that the rungs remain horizontal. The feet must be prevented from slipping, and access ladders must protrude sufficiently beyond the platform unless there is another firm handhold. The sections of extension and telescopic ladders must not move relative to one another. A worker must always have a secure handhold, also when carrying a load. The Directive applies to employers in the EU, but the same rules are a good minimum at home too.

On Glatko

On 27 September 2026 Glatko had six verified painting providers, three from Podgorica and one each from Tivat, Budva and Bar, and two verified window cleaning providers, from Bar and Budva.

What to check before buying

1. The height you need to reach and the ladder length.
2. The load capacity in kilograms on the label.
3. Rubber anti-slip feet and locks on the joints.
4. The ladder's weight if you carry it yourself.
5. The price before discount and of the same model in several shops.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from KIPS, Okov and Ananas on the day we read them, including prices before discount where shown; the sorting, ranges and price per metre are ours. We did not measure load capacity or stability, and we did not count scaffolding, trestles, connectors, ironing boards or plant supports as ladders.
