Kitchen Sinks in Montenegro: Prices of Granite and Stainless Steel Sinks at KIPS and Ananas, the Same Model at Two Sellers, Trap and Tap, Fitting and What to Do When the Sink Clogs (2026)

On 26 September 2026 a kitchen sink in Montenegro costs from €40.59 for a round Metalac stainless steel sink at KIPS to €352.99 for a Deante Magnetic granite sink, and the median of 54 sinks at KIPS is €124.30. Granite sinks at KIPS start at €104.85, and stainless and steel sinks at €40.59. On Ananas 37 sinks cost from €23.80 to €184.49, and the same Metalac model is priced slightly differently at two sellers: the black Atos 50 costs €124.65 at KIPS and €128.69 from the seller Metalac Market.

What people search for

On 26 September 2026 Google completed sudopera (kitchen sink) with za kuhinju (for the kitchen), okov, crna gora (Montenegro), zacepljena (clogged), metalac, okrugla (round), granitna (granite), metalac granit and ugradna (inset). Google Trends for Montenegro shows sinks searched rarely compared with washing machines, but the searches are specific: material, maker and a drain problem.

Prices by material

KIPS has 54 sinks from Metalac and Deante, and on Ananas a search for sink gives 188 results, of which we read 143, with 37 sinks, mostly from the seller Metalac Market. Okov mainly offers taps, traps and fittings in that search. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

Granite sinks, which listings also call quartz sinks, have a median about €92 higher than stainless ones. At KIPS Metalac granite sinks cost from €104.85 for the round XVenera to €197.19 for the XQuadro Plus 2D, and Deante granite sinks from €169.15 for the Andante to €352.99 for the Magnetic. The cheapest stainless sinks are a round Metalac without a trap for €40.59 and the Deante Techno 380x380 mm for €42.40.

The same model at two sellers

KIPS and Metalac Market on Ananas sell the same Metalac sinks:

• Atos 50, black, 500x500 mm: €124.65 at KIPS, €128.69 on Ananas.
• XLinea 50, black: €123.95 at KIPS, €128.69 on Ananas.
• Nera Praktik 2D 790x500: €98.49 at KIPS, €101.69 on Ananas.
• Standard 2D 800x600: €65.15 at KIPS, €67.49 on Ananas.
• Venera 480 C, stainless: €45.49 at KIPS, €40.49 on Ananas.

The differences are small, up to €4.74 for granite sinks, while for the small stainless Venera Ananas is €5 cheaper. The seller lists some Ananas items with a trap included, so check what is in the price.

Trap, tap and fittings

At Okov a trap for a single sink costs €3.39, a trap for a double sink with overflow €8.39, and sink mounting clips €5.50 for a pack of 12. Inset or sit-on

Most sinks in these sources are inset, which means a hole is cut in the worktop and the sink is sealed and fixed with clips. Standard stainless sinks of 800x600 sit on top of the base unit, so the worktop does not need cutting. What the water through the sink costs

According to the Podgorica Water and Sewerage price list for 2026, the variable part of the price is €0.46 per m³ for water, €0.1889 for wastewater collection and €0.152 for treatment, without VAT, plus fixed monthly parts. By our calculation that is about €0.80 for every cubic metre that goes through the sink, so washing dishes under running water at 50 litres a day, 1.5 m³ a month, costs about €1.20 a month without VAT.

When the sink clogs

The most common cause is grease and food scraps in the trap. The trap can be unscrewed and cleaned, but if water backs up into other drains or the blockage keeps coming back, the problem is deeper in the pipe and you need a plumber. Care and warranty

Clean a granite sink with a mild detergent and a soft sponge, and remove limescale with vinegar or a descaler, because abrasive cleaners leave scratches. Wipe a stainless sink with a dry cloth after use so no water marks remain. The Consumer Protection Law (Official Gazette of Montenegro 12/2026) has been in force since 14 February 2026 and governs the buyer's rights when a product is defective, so keep the receipt and packaging until the sink is fitted and checked.

What to check before buying

1. The unit width and the cut-out size in the worktop.
2. Single or double bowl, and whether you need a drainer.
3. Whether a trap is included and the drain diameter.
4. A tap hole, because some sinks do not have one.
5. The colour of a granite sink, because limescale and scratches show more on dark ones.

How we measured and what we did not measure
