Towels in Montenegro: Bath and Beach Towel Prices at JYSK, on Ananas, at Okov and KIPS, Terry Weight and What the EU Ecolabel Requires of Towels (2026)

On 27 September 2026 a 70x140 cm towel at JYSK costs from €6 to €27, with a median of €14 across 62 listings, and a 50x100 cm one from €4 to €15. A beach towel on Ananas has a median of €17.99 across 164 listings, and at Okov costs from €6.99. At KIPS a 70x140 cm towel costs €7.49.

What people search for

In Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months, the term peskiri (towels), compared with usisivac (vacuum cleaner), had an average of 1, peaking at 31 in the week from 19 July 2026, with values of 6 in September, and Trends listed vitapur peskiri (Vitapur towels) as a rising query. On 27 September 2026 Google completed peskiri with za plazu (for the beach), okov, za plazu crna gora, crna gora, za plazu okov, cungu, za plazu podgorica, podgorica and za auto (for the car). So people mostly look for beach towels, and most of all in summer.

Towels at JYSK

At JYSK 56 of 181 towels were on sale, almost all Karlstad at 50 % off. The 50x100 cm Karlstad costs €4 instead of €8, the 70x140 cm one €7 instead of €14, and the 100x150 cm one €11 instead of €22. The 30x50 cm Uppsala costs €1, and the 65x130 cm one €6. The Malung costs €10 for 50x100 cm and €15 for 70x140 cm.

More expensive are the Nora, €12 for 50x100 cm and €24 for 70x140 cm, and the Sorunda, €15 and €27. 70x140 cm children's towels with cartoon characters cost €10 each. The cheapest is a small 28x30 cm Karlstad at €0.75.

Towels on Ananas

On Ananas the search returned 930 results, and among the 248 we read there were 164 beach towels. MIL-POP sells 113 Le Comptoir de la Plage towels, from €10.99 to €26.99, with a median of €19.99, and for 57 towels of 90x170 cm the median is also €19.99. ANANAS SHOP sells L'essentiel Maison: a 75x150 cm beach towel at €10.80, 150x150 cm ones from €10.80 to €28.40 and a 100x180 cm one at €53.70. Sets cost from €3.60 for three hand towels to €91.80 for six towels.

Towels at Okov and KIPS

At Okov the search returned 335 products, and there were 30 towels on the first page, mostly Frotirka with the weight stated. The Lago at 460 g/m² costs €3.99 for 50x90 cm and €7.99 for 70x130 cm, the Komo at 480 g/m² €4.29 and €8.49, and the Elora at 650 g/m² €5.59 and €12.99. 70x160 cm beach towels were €6.99 instead of €10.99, and the 100x180 cm Vis costs €14.99.

At KIPS there were 17 towels. The 50x85 cm Traverse was €1.69 instead of €2.49, and the 90x145 cm one €3.99 instead of €5.99. The 50x100 cm Mativo costs €3.49 and €3.99, and the 70x140 cm one €7.49, while the 90x145 cm Honeycomp costs €8.99.

Price and calculation

By our calculation, a 70x140 cm towel at JYSK costs €6.51 more at the median than a Mativo of the same size at KIPS. The 650 g/m², 70x130 cm Elora costs €5 more than the 460 g/m² Lago of the same size, and heavier terry is thicker and softer. What the EU Ecolabel requires of towels

Commission Decision 2014/350/EU on the EU Ecolabel for textiles requires that bathroom linen, including terry towelling, does not shrink or stretch by more than 8 % after washing and drying. At least 10 % of the cotton must be organically grown, unless the manufacturer uses another permitted route, and clothing for babies under three must contain at least 95 % organic cotton. The Ecolabel is voluntary, but you can look for it on a towel.

On Glatko

On 27 September 2026 Glatko had four verified kitchen and bathroom providers from Podgorica and eight verified plumbers: four from Podgorica, two from Tivat and one each from Budva and Bar.

What to check before buying

1. The weight: 450 to 500 g/m² for everyday use, over 600 g/m² for a softer towel.
2. The size: 50x100 for hands, 70x140 for the shower, 90x170 and up for the beach.
3. The composition: cotton, microfibre or a blend.
4. Washing at 60 °C if the label allows it.
5. The price before the discount in several shops.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from JYSK, Ananas, Okov and KIPS on the day we read them, including pre-discount prices where shown; the groups and medians are ours. We took the size from the name and removed holders, stands and microfibre car cloths. On Ananas we read 248 of 930 results, and at Okov the first page of the search. We did not measure absorbency or shrinkage after washing.
