Custom Kitchens in Montenegro: Price per Running Metre in Chipboard and MDF, Ready-Made Kitchens, Worktops, Sinks and Taps (2026)

A custom kitchen in melamine chipboard (known locally as univer) costs about €250 per running metre in Montenegro, in MDF from €300 to €360, and in veneered MDF from €400 to €450: that is what Top Dizajn from Danilovgrad says, one of the few joiners who publish prices. On 25 September 2026 a ready-made 1.2 metre kitchen cost €262.40 at Grand, and a 2 metre one €315.70. At that rate a custom chipboard kitchen 2.4 metres long comes to about €600, without a sink, tap or appliances.

What people search for

On 25 September 2026 Google completed kuhinje po mjeri (custom kitchens) with crna gora (Montenegro), niksic, namos, bar, podgorica, cijena po metru (price per metre) and podgorica cijena (Podgorica price). According to Google Keyword Planner, kuhinje po mjeri was searched between 100 and 1,000 times a month in Montenegro, in Serbian, from September 2025 to August 2026, and in Google Trends for Montenegro it had a lower average index than vodoinstalater (plumber) over the last 12 months.

Price per running metre

A custom kitchen is priced per running metre, that is, by the length of the wall the units run along. Prices are rarely published: of five ads for made-to-measure furniture from 2025 and 2026 in the Home and Office section of oglasi.me, from Podgorica, Budva, Cetinje and Rožaje, none had a price. Top Dizajn lists prices by material on its profile on registarfirmi.me. How we choose and label price sources is explained on our page on how we measure prices.

According to the same source, univer is chipboard covered with a melamine foil that resists scratches and chemicals, in many patterns, but its edges are sealed with a tape that can come off if water is left on it. MDF is painted to order, from matt to high gloss, can be repainted, and its edges do not show. Veneered MDF has a layer of wood 1 to 2 mm thick. Medipan, another joiner, says that built-in units, double wall units with lift-up doors, hardware and material also set the price, and that it uses Egger, Falco, Kaindl and Kronospan boards and Blum hardware.

Ready-made kitchens and units

A cheaper option is a ready-made kitchen or one assembled from units. On 25 September 2026 Grand department store had an 18% discount:

Sink and tap

The sink and the tap are usually bought separately. On 25 September 2026 the first page of Okov's categories showed 32 sinks from €39.90 to €399 and 32 kitchen taps from €34.90 to €299.90. The cheapest sinks were Alveus bowls from €39.90, without a trap.

A calculation for two kitchens

At the per-metre prices in the table, without a sink, tap, appliances, or installation and delivery if these are not included:

• A 2.4 metre kitchen: about €600 in chipboard, €720 to €864 in MDF, €960 to €1,080 in veneered MDF.
• A 3.6 metre kitchen: about €900 in chipboard, €1,080 to €1,296 in MDF, €1,440 to €1,620 in veneered MDF.
• Sink and tap from Okov: at least €74.80 for both.

A ready-made 2 metre kitchen at Grand, at €315.70, costs a little more than half of a custom chipboard kitchen of the same length, which at €250 per metre would be €500. The difference is that a custom kitchen is made for the exact dimensions of the wall and the corners, while a ready-made one is fitted to the space as it is.

Who makes kitchens

On 25 September 2026 Glatko had five verified profiles that make kitchens and made-to-measure furniture, all in Podgorica: four are in the kitchens and bathrooms category and two in the custom furniture category, one of them in both. The only request in the kitchens and bathrooms category from 24 April to 28 June 2026 was for a bathroom renovation in Ulcinj. Before you sign with a joiner, check:

• Measuring and a drawing: the joiner should measure the space on site and give you a drawing or 3D view to approve.
• What the price per metre includes: worktop, hardware, sink, installation and delivery; the source with the prices does not say.
• Deadline, deposit and invoice: write down the production and installation deadline and the deposit, and ask for a fiscal invoice; the tax administration explains electronic fiscalisation of invoices.

What we did not measure

The per-metre prices come from one joiner and are undated; other joiners do not publish prices, and the Namos and Dallas showroom websites did not show prices without loading in a browser. We did not measure the prices of kitchen appliances, the installation of ready-made kitchens or production times.
