Padlocks in Montenegro: prices of 30 to 90 mm, combination and bike locks on Ananas, at KIPS and Okov and what the EU requires of online sellers (2026)

On 27 September 2026 a 50 mm padlock has a median of €10.62 on Ananas and €9.07 at KIPS, and an Apecs of the same width costs €7.49 at Okov. A bike lock on Ananas costs from €6.90, and armoured security padlocks at Okov up to €55.90. The cheapest padlock, a 32 mm Apecs at Okov, costs €1.49.

What people search for

In Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months, the term katanac (padlock), compared with usisivac (vacuum cleaner), had an average of 1, with a value only in the week from 27 September 2026, 32. On 27 September 2026 Google completed katanac with okov, za bicikl (for a bicycle), cena (price), sa sifrom (with a code), za kofer (for a suitcase), za motor (for a motorbike), za vrata (for a door) and na sifru (with a code). So people look for bike and motorbike locks, combination locks and the price.

Padlocks on Ananas

On Ananas the search returned 65 results, and without a tap with a padlock hole, a hasp and a hair press, 61 padlocks remained, from €1.60 to €36.66, with a median of €9.95. They are sold by Centrometal, 35, MIKRO S&E, 19, and Multisport, 7.

A 32 mm GEKO costs €1.60, a 50 mm one €2.80 and a 75 mm one €4.56. The brass Maurer Skin costs €1.82 for 20 mm, €2.06 for 25 mm, €5.54 for 50 mm and €7.99 for 60 mm. Tolsen costs from €2.25 for 20 mm to €15.48 for an 80 mm security padlock. Stainless steel Maurer Mare padlocks cost from €9.50 to €22.82, and a 90 mm steel Maurer €36.66. A Bormann combination padlock costs €6.85 for 28 mm and €9.95 for 38 mm.

There are several kinds of bike lock. An 8 x 1,000 mm Wag spiral lock costs €6.90, a Wag chain lock €19.89, a Kryptonite Gripper U-lock €23.90, an RMS chain lock €26.90 and a folding Wag Carpenter €32.90. A Maurer motorbike lock with a 55 cm cable costs €3.89, and with a 150 cm cable €4.40.

Padlocks at KIPS

At KIPS the search returned 33 results, 30 of them padlocks, from €1.85 to €28.85, with a median of €8.62. A standard padlock costs €1.85 for 25 mm, €2.65 for 30 mm, €3.75 for 40 mm and €5.05 for 50 mm. Stainless steel padlocks cost €8.39 for 30 mm, €11.79 for 40 mm and €19.19 for 50 mm.

Security padlocks with a steel shroud and four keys cost €17.55 for 70 mm and €19.79 for 90 mm, and an 80 mm stainless steel disc-type padlock €28.85. Combination padlocks cost €4.95 for 21 mm, €7.29 for 28 mm and €9.59 for 38 mm. An MS Energy spiral lock costs €18.50.

Padlocks at Okov

At Okov the search returned 79 products, and the first page had 25 padlocks, from €1.49 to €55.90, with a median of €5.49, and several hasps from €2.49 to €13.90. The Apecs PDB-04 costs €2.99 for 30 mm, €4.89 for 40 mm and €7.49 for 50 mm, and the 32 mm Apecs PD-01 €1.49. The stainless steel IBFM Bullit costs €8.49 for 40 mm and €12.90 for 50 mm, the armoured 90 mm Bullit with three keys €29.90, and a 75 mm CISA disc-type padlock €55.90.

Size, shop and calculation

By our calculation, a 50 mm padlock at Okov (Apecs) is €3.13 cheaper than the median on Ananas and €1.58 cheaper than the median at KIPS. On Ananas the median 60 mm padlock costs about two and a half times the median 30 mm one. An armoured 90 mm padlock costs €19.79 at KIPS and €29.90 at Okov, a difference of €10.11. A 50 mm stainless steel padlock at KIPS costs almost four times a standard one of the same size.

What the EU requires of online sellers

Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety requires in Article 19 that an online offer clearly and visibly states the name or registered trade mark of the manufacturer and its postal and electronic address. If the manufacturer is not established in the EU, the offer must also name the responsible person in the EU. The offer must also include information identifying the product, including a picture and its type, as well as warnings and safety information in a language consumers can easily understand. Montenegro is not an EU member, but this information is worth checking in every online padlock offer.

On 27 September 2026 Glatko had one verified doors and windows provider from Podgorica, and 23 verified renovation and construction providers, 13 of them from Podgorica.

What to check before buying

1. The body width: 30 to 40 mm for a locker or suitcase, 50 to 70 mm for a shed or gate.
2. The shackle: a shrouded or short shackle is harder to cut.
3. The material: brass and stainless steel do not rust by the sea.
4. Key or code: a code is handy when several people use the same padlock.
5. A hasp or eyes that fit the shackle thickness.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from Ananas, KIPS and Okov on the day we read them; the groups and medians are ours. We took the body width and type from the name and removed a tap, hasps, eyes and a press. At Okov we read the first page of the search. We did not test how well the padlocks resist cutting or opening without a key.
