Bike Service in Montenegro: Prices of a Small, Medium and Full Service, Brakes, Gears, Tyres and Wheels at Podgorica Workshops (2026)

A bike service in Montenegro costs from €15 for a small service to €35 for a full one. The two Podgorica workshops that publish a price list, Bike 'N More and Bajkeraj, charged €15 for a small service on 25 September 2026 and €35 for a full or general service; Bike 'N More also has a medium service for €25. An hour of work cost €20 at Bike 'N More and €15 at Bajkeraj, and changing a tyre or inner tube €5 and €3.

Glatko has no category for bike servicing, so below are the prices of service packages, the prices of individual repairs at two workshops, what each service includes, an example bill before the season and when a workshop must give a written quote.

What people search for

On 25 September 2026 Google completed servis bicikla (bike service) with zlatica, tivat, budva, bar, herceg novi, podgorica and zelenika. According to Google Keyword Planner, servis bicikla was searched between 10 and 100 times a month in Montenegro, in Serbian, from September 2025 to August 2026.

Prices of service packages

We read the prices on 25 September 2026 on the websites of two Podgorica workshops; Bike 'N More states that its prices include VAT. Tempo in Podgorica, an authorised Shimano service centre, does not publish prices on its website. How we choose and label price sources is explained on our page on how we measure prices.

Bajkeraj describes what its packages include. The small service covers adjusting the hub cones, the brakes and both derailleurs, touching up the wheel truing, lubricating the cables and adjusting the headset. The general service adds cleaning and lubricating the drivetrain, cassette, chain and headset, cleaning the derailleurs, truing both wheels, bleeding the brakes if needed and fine-tuning the gears and brakes.

Prices of individual repairs

The biggest difference is in bleeding a hydraulic disc brake: €6 per brake at Bajkeraj, oil included, and €17 at Bike 'N More. Replacing the frame costs €35 at both workshops, and assembling a new MTB or CTB bike with a first service costs €15 at Bajkeraj.

When it is time for a service

A service does not have to wait for a breakdown. Take the bike in when you notice one of these:

• The chain skips or the gears do not shift: a derailleur adjustment is usually enough, and if the chain is stretched, it needs replacing, often with the cassette.
• The brakes squeal or brake weakly: the pads may be worn; on V-brakes the replacement is cheap, on disc brakes the rotor should be checked too.
• The hydraulic brake lever feels soft: there is air in the system and the brake needs bleeding, and that is where prices at the two workshops differed most.
• The wheel wobbles or rubs the pads: the wheel needs truing, and after a harder knock the rim may need rebuilding.
• The bike stood all winter: a small service before the first ride checks the brakes, gears and bearings.

You can clean and lubricate the chain yourself; at Bajkeraj chain lubrication costs €1.

Where the workshops are and when they open

Both workshops with a published price list are in Podgorica. Bike 'N More is at Bratstva i jedinstva 55 and is open Monday to Saturday from 10 to 18, and services are booked by phone. Bajkeraj is in City kvart and is open Monday to Saturday from 9 to 20. Tempo on Cetinjski put says it is the first and so far the only authorised Shimano service centre in Montenegro. In Budva, Bar, Tivat and Herceg Novi, which Google suggests alongside servis bicikla, we did not find workshops with published prices.

An example bill before the season

• Mountain bike with disc brakes, Bike 'N More: a full service for €35 and new pads on both brakes 2 × €6 = €12, a total of €47 for labour, plus the price of the pads.
• The same job at Bajkeraj: a general service for €35 and pads 2 × €3 = €6, a total of €41 for labour, plus the pads.
• City bike, basics only: a small service for €15 and an inner tube change for €3 to €5, a total of €18 to €20, plus the tube.

When a workshop must give a written quote

Under the Consumer Protection Law, in force since 14 February 2026, for a repair or maintenance service worth more than €50 the trader must give the consumer a quote specifying the work, the materials and the parts needed. If during the service more work turns out to be needed and the price rises by more than 10%, the consumer's prior written consent is required, and the invoice comes with a specification of the work done. On 25 September 2026 Glatko had no category for bike servicing, so it did not receive requests for this service. If you service bikes, registering as a professional on Glatko is free and without commission. Prices of other services are in our price guide.

What we did not measure

We did not include the prices of parts, chains, cassettes, pads and tyres, because they depend on the model. Tempo and other workshops do not publish prices, and we did not find workshops on the coast with a published price list. We also did not check how long you wait for a free slot in the season. The prices are from a single day.
