Microwave Ovens in Montenegro: Prices of Freestanding, Built-In and Grill Microwaves at KIPS, Okov and on Ananas, and the Same Gorenje at Three Sellers (2026)

On 26 September 2026 a microwave oven in Montenegro costs from €60 on Ananas, and the median of 72 freestanding microwaves is €116.82. Built-in microwaves have a median of €335.75, and the most expensive, the Bosch BFL634GB1, costs €809.99. The same Gorenje MO20A3B costs €92.70 at Grmec, €96.89 at KIPS and €148.75 at ANANAS SHOP.

A freestanding microwave just plugs into a socket, while a built-in one has to be fitted into a kitchen unit, so on Glatko you can send a free request, without an account, to a kitchen fitter. Below are prices of freestanding, built-in and grill models, a comparison of identical models, rules on consumption and safety, and what to check before buying.

What people search for

According to Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months, the term mikrotalasna (microwave) had an average index of 1.0, against 55.7 for usisivac (vacuum cleaner) in the same comparison. On 26 September 2026 Google completed mikrotalasna with pecnica (oven), cijena (price), tehnomax, tehnoplus, multicom, okov, beko and gorenje. So people are looking for the price in a specific shop and for a specific brand.

Freestanding microwaves

On the marketplace Ananas a search for microwave gives 107 results, of which 93 are microwave ovens and the rest toys, sensors and accessories. Freestanding models cost from €60 for the Omiljena MW20W and €63 for the Favorit MW 20 S, through €74.55 for the 20 l, 700 W Tesla MW2030MW and €112.83 for the 23 l, 800 W Samsung MS23K3515AK, to €185.30 for the 24 l, 900 W Electrolux EMZ725MMK. The professional Whirlpool PRO 25 IX costs €352.75.

Grill models start at €88.20 for the Tesla MW2060MW, which has a 1000 W grill besides 700 W of microwave power. KIPS sells three Gorenje models, from €82.69 for the MO20E1W to €108.90 for the MO20E1T4. At Okov a 17 l ECG microwave costs €79.90, and 20 l Sencor SMW models from €104.90 to €139.90. Of the 72 freestanding microwaves, 31 cost under €100, another 31 between €100 and €150, and ten €150 or more. The most listings are from ANANAS SHOP with 30, Tehno Plus with 26 and Grmec with 16 of the 93 microwaves, and Gorenje is the most common brand with 24 models. More volume and power raise the price: the 20 l, 700 W Tesla MW2030MW costs €74.55 and the 23 l, 800 W Samsung MS23K3515AK €112.83. For reheating and defrosting a 20 l oven is usually enough, while a bigger volume makes sense if you cook whole family meals in it.

Built-in microwaves

There are 21 built-in microwaves on Ananas, from €141.75 for the Favorit BIMW-20, through €208.25 for the 29 l AEG MFB295DB and €340 for the Bosch BFL523MS0B, to €809.99 for the Bosch BFL634GB1, with a median of €335.75. At Okov the built-in EMS26204OW costs €278.99 instead of €367. Same model, different price

We found ten models at two or three sellers, at KIPS, Okov and on Ananas. For Gorenje the lowest price is always at Grmec and the highest at ANANAS SHOP.

The biggest gap is for the Gorenje MO4250CLB, €69.55, and for the MO20A3B €56.05. On a microwave of around a hundred euros, a gap of €50 to €70 is more than a third of the price, so comparing sellers pays off particularly well here.

Consumption and safety

Under Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/826, which applies from 9 May 2025 and also covers microwave ovens, an appliance in off mode may use at most 0.50 W, and in standby with a clock display at most 0.80 W. By our calculation, 0.80 W for a whole year is about 7 kWh, or about €0.81 at the EPCG higher tariff of 11.5462 cents per kWh, without VAT and fixed charges.

The US FDA states that the US standard limits microwave leakage to 5 mW per cm² at about 5 cm from the oven over its whole lifetime, and requires two independent systems that stop operation when the door is opened. A microwave with a damaged door, hinges or seals should not be used until a service centre has checked it.

At Okov a Domax wall bracket for a microwave costs €15.69, 25 m of microwave cling film €1.29, and Lekue containers for popcorn, rice or pasta from €7.99 to €19.90. To move a larger built-in oven you can also book single-item transport.

On Glatko

On 26 September 2026 Glatko had four verified kitchen and bathroom providers from Podgorica and three verified single-item transport providers, two from Podgorica and one from Herceg Novi.

What to check before buying

1. The price of the same model at several sellers, not only similar models.
2. Volume: 20 l for one person or a couple, 23 to 29 l for a family.
3. Microwave power and whether it has a grill.
4. Freestanding or built-in: the space in the kitchen and the height of the unit.
5. The condition of the door and seal on a display or used unit.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from Ananas, KIPS and Okov on the day we read them, including prices before discount where shown; the split, medians, comparisons and calculation are ours. We did not measure the power, radiation or consumption of the ovens, nor did we check stock in shops.
