Child Car Seats in Montenegro: Prices of Infant Carriers 0-13 kg, 40-150 cm and 76-150 cm Seats and Boosters on Ananas, and What EU Rules Require up to 150 cm (2026)
On 27 September 2026 a child car seat in Montenegro costs from €22.90 for a Freeon booster to €415.90 for the Maxi-Cosi Titan Pro 2 on Ananas. An infant carrier for babies up to 13 kg starts at €89.99, a seat that lasts from birth to 150 cm has a median of €177, a seat from 76 or 100 to 150 cm €117, and a booster for children from 125 to 150 cm €41.25. The same Jungle Jet costs €136 at one seller and €144.49 at another.
A car seat is bought for years of driving, and for an evening out you need someone to look after the child: on Glatko you can send a free request, without an account, for a babysitter. Below are prices by group, the same model at two sellers and what EU rules say about children under 150 cm and the airbag.
What people search for
For the term auto sjediste (car seat) we did not get usable Google Trends data for Montenegro, so we rely on search suggestions. On 27 September 2026 Google completed auto sedište with za decu (for children), za decu od 3 godine (for children from age three), za bebe (for babies), 0-36, 360 stepeni (rotating), za decu od 4 godine (for children from age four), nania, cybex and jaje (infant carrier). So people look for a seat by age, a rotating seat and an infant carrier.
Prices by group
On the marketplace Ananas a search for car seat gives 82 results. We removed toys, seat protectors, cushions and holders, which left 73 seats, and we sorted 66 of them by the height or weight the listing states. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

Infant carriers are used by newborns and babies, facing backwards. The Cangaroo Alma and the Moni Sofie for children up to 13 kg cost €89.99 each, the Lorelli Aria for 40 to 87 cm €95.90, the Kikka Boo I-Prime €112 and the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio 360 €349.
Seats for 40 to 150 cm last from birth to a height of 150 cm. The Freeon Pollo costs €124.99, the Jungle Jet from €136, the Kikka Boo I-Defend €157.25, the BBO Cosmos €169.99, the Lorelli Imola with 360-degree rotation €179.90, the Kinderkraft I-Grow €229.50, the Kikka Boo I-Bond €297.50 and the Chicco Fullseat 360 for 61 to 150 cm €399.20.
Seats for 76 or 100 to 150 cm are for children who have outgrown the infant carrier. The Kikka Boo I-Flow for 76 to 150 cm costs €72, the Kinderkraft I-Spark 2 Plus for 100 to 150 cm €102, the Kinderkraft Comfort Up €108, the Kinderkraft Xpand2 Pro €148.50 and the Kinderkraft Fix2Go €153. A booster is a seat without a backrest for children from 125 to 150 cm: the Freeon costs from €22.90, the Kikka Boo I-Go 2 €29.75, the Chicco Quasar €39.90 and the Kinderkraft I-Boost2 €63.
GROUP TRADE offers the most seats, 43, followed by Donator with 18 and Bambina shop with 12. At KIPS the same search brings up seat covers, floor mats and other car equipment, not child seats.
Same model, different price
The Jungle Jet for 40 to 150 cm is sold by both GROUP TRADE and Bambina shop. At GROUP TRADE the grey, light grey and green versions cost €136 each, while at Bambina shop the grey and black cost €144.49 and the green €169.99. For the green version the gap is €33.99, or 25 percent.
By our calculation, one 40 to 150 cm seat at the €177 median replaces an infant carrier at €92.95, a 76 to 150 cm seat at €117 and a booster at €41.25, which together cost €251.20. The difference is €74.20, but an infant carrier is easier to carry and clips onto the stroller, which is a reason to buy the seats separately. What EU rules require
Under Directive 2003/20/EC on the compulsory use of safety belts, in the EU a child under 150 cm in a passenger car fitted with belts must be restrained in a child restraint system suitable for the child's weight. Member States may allow children from 135 to 150 cm to use an adult belt. A child may not travel in a rearward-facing seat in a passenger seat protected by a front airbag unless the airbag has been deactivated. The Directive groups seats by weight: group 0 up to 10 kg, 0+ up to 13 kg, I from 9 to 18 kg, II from 15 to 25 kg and III from 22 to 36 kg. Montenegro is not an EU member and has its own road safety law, but the same rules are a good minimum.

What to check before buying
- The child's height and weight against the seat's range.
- Whether the car has Isofix and whether the seat uses it.
- A rearward-facing seat for as long as possible, and a deactivated airbag if it goes in front.
- The approval on the seat's label.
- The price of the same model at several sellers.
