Doormats in Montenegro: prices of rubber, coir and textile doormats and large entrance mats at Okov, KIPS and on Ananas (2026)

On 28 September 2026 a doormat costs from €1.99 at Okov and €2.99 at KIPS to €39.90 for a large mat at Okov. The median is €9.99 across 32 doormats at Okov and €8.49 across 73 at KIPS, and on Ananas the median of the first 96 offers is €5.70. Large entrance mats from 90x150 to 120x180 cm cost from €23.49 to €39.90.

So people search for the shop, a doormat with a message or name and a doormat in English, such as Welcome.

Doormats at Okov

At Okov the first page of the search for otirac had 32 doormats. The cheapest is the Hamat Dusco 35x55 cm at €1.99, then the Stepguard Concord 40x60 cm at €2.29 and the Stepguard Platinum 40x60 cm at €2.99. Hamat 40x60 cm mats with Hello and Welcome to our Home cost €4.99 each, the Stepguard Blake 46x76 cm €5.99 each, and the Hamat Watergate €6.49.

The Astra Border Star costs €8.49 for 40x60 cm and €13.99 for 50x80 cm, the 45x75 cm Hamat Bellini and Supreme €9.99 each, and the Ecotrend Contour €10.99 for 45x75 cm and €16.99 for 60x90 cm. The Hamat Bombay half-moon costs €15.99, the long 50x150 cm Hamat Prestige Rust €32.90, and the most expensive is the 120x180 cm Mars runner at €39.90.

Doormats at KIPS and on Ananas

At KIPS the search for otirac returned 73 doormats, mostly Hamat. The cheapest are the 40x60 cm Renox at €2.99 and €3.49, Pinmix and Step Mat at €3.99, and Spectrum at €4.49. Rubber doormats cost €6.99 and €7.39 for a half-moon, E-Coco coir mats from €8.09 to €10.49, Aqua Stop €6.49 for 40x60 cm and €10.99 for 50x80 cm, and Impala from €18.99 to €27.49. The most expensive is a rolled 120x180 cm Spectrum runner at €38.99.

On Ananas the search for otirač returned 8557 results, and among the first 96 offers 79 are from the seller Ananas Shop, mostly 40x70 cm Conceptum Hypnose at €5.70. The seller Čistunica offers Hamat doormats, for example the Stepmat 40x60 cm at €4.49, the Supreme at €8.49, the Ruco Coir at €6.99 and €10.99, and the Ruco Style 45x75 cm at €15.99.

Which size and type to choose

A doormat should be at least as wide as the door, and for double or balcony doors a longer runner is better. It is best to have two mats: a coarse one outside, which removes mud and sand, and an absorbent one inside, which collects moisture. A coir mat cleans soles well but sheds and does not cope with constant rain without a canopy, a rubber one is water-resistant and easy to hose down, and a rubber-backed textile one absorbs but has to dry.

For an entrance under a canopy or in a flat a thinner mat is enough, while a house with a yard and terrace needs a thicker, longer one. A mat with a message looks nicer, but the print on cheap models fades faster. With a doormat, see also our guides to bath mats, rugs and security doors.

Shake out and vacuum the mat regularly, wash a rubber one with water, and wash a textile one according to the label and dry it before putting it back on the floor. Stains quickly appear under a wet mat on parquet or laminate, so indoors choose a mat with a backing that does not let water through.

What the EU sets for floors at the entrance to a workplace

In Article 3, Council Directive 89/654/EEC on minimum requirements for the workplace requires workplaces to meet the requirements of Annex I, and point 9.1 of that annex states that floors must have no dangerous bumps, holes or slopes and must be fixed, stable and not slippery.

So in a shop, office or apartment for letting, the entrance mat must not slide or have raised edges people can trip on. Montenegro is not an EU member, but a rubber backing and flat edges reduce the same risk at home too.

1. The size: at least the width of the door, a longer runner for a terrace.
2. The location: outside, under a canopy or indoors.

4. The backing: non-slip and watertight.
5. Care: hosing down, machine washing or just vacuuming.
