Blankets in Montenegro: prices of single, double and children's blankets at Okov and on Ananas, price per square metre and what the EU bans in textiles (2026)
On 28 September 2026 a blanket at Okov costs from €8.99 to €54.90, with a median of €29.90 across 27 blankets. On Ananas 53 blankets cost from €6.49 to €127.50, with a median of €19. A double bed blanket costs from €16.20 on Ananas and €16.99 at Okov. None of the three shops had an electric blanket, although people search for one on Google.
Blankets are washed less often than bed linen, so on Glatko you can send a free request, without an account, for laundry and ironing or for carpet washing. Below are prices by size and shop, the price per square metre and what the EU bans in textiles that touch the skin.
What people search for and when
In Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months, the term cebe (blanket), compared with usisivac (vacuum cleaner), had an average of 2, peaking at 51 in the week from 16 November 2025, with values of 7, 15 and 15 in September 2026. Trends listed cebe za bebe (baby blanket, +50 %) as a rising query. So blankets are searched for when it gets cold, with a peak in November.
On 28 September 2026 Google completed elektricno cebe (electric blanket) with cena (price), crna gora, tehnomanija, za rasad (for seedlings), dormeo, kupujemprodajem, iskustva (reviews), na baterije (battery-powered) and za pse (for dogs), and grejno cebe (heated blanket) with za rasad (for seedlings), cena (price) and za pse (for dogs). So electric blankets are searched for seedlings and pets too, but KIPS, Okov and Ananas did not have them that day, and KIPS did not even have ordinary blankets.

Blankets at Okov
At Okov the first search page had 27 blankets for people, from €8.99 to €54.90, with a median of €29.90. The 280 g/m² Bubble Flannel fleece blanket costs €8.99 for 130x180 cm, €12.99 for a 160x220 cm single bed and €16.99 for a 220x240 cm double bed. Wave Stripe costs €22.90 for a single and €29.90 for a double bed, Sense 521 €29.90 and €39.90, and the 800 g/m² Soft & Warm €39.90 and €54.90.
The Lana blanket costs €11.99 for 150x200 cm and €19.99 for 200x240 cm, the double Emboss €44.90, and the Adriel Jacquard €25.90 for 120x160 cm and €49.90 for 180x230 cm. A children's single blanket with cartoon characters costs €35.90.
Blankets on Ananas
On Ananas the search for ćebe (blanket) returned 80 results, and 53 blankets remained after we removed Cebe-brand sunglasses, rugs, puzzles and pet products. All 24 L'essentiel Maison blankets were on sale: a woven 170x200 cm, 320 g/m² blanket costs €9.90, a 200x235 cm double blanket €16.20 and €16.90, a 220x240 cm one €20.20, the 150x200 cm Pom Pom €20.80 and the 195x220 cm Likya €55.40.
There were 28 baby and children's blankets, from €6.49 for a 75x100 cm fleece to €127.50, with a median of €19. A baby blanket with a toy costs €14.90 and €19, Kikka Boo from €16 to €30.90, and Cilek blankets for a child's bed €86.13 and €117.45.
Price per square metre and the larger size
By our calculation, the woven 170x200 cm L'essentiel blanket costs €2.91 per square metre, the 160x220 cm Bubble Flannel €3.69, the 160x220 cm Soft & Warm €11.34 and the 195x220 cm Likya €12.91 per square metre. The same line in the double size at Okov is 31 % (Bubble Flannel and Wave Stripe) to 38 % (Soft & Warm) more expensive than the single.
The median is €29.90 at Okov and €19 on Ananas, but on Ananas all adult blankets were on sale. The children's character blanket at Okov (€35.90) costs more than the fleece double blanket (€16.99).

What the EU bans in textiles that touch the skin
Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/1513 added entry 72 to Annex XVII of the REACH Regulation: since 1 November 2020, clothing, footwear and other textiles that touch the skin in a similar way to clothing may not be placed on the market if they contain the listed carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances above the limit values. Recital 4 gives bed linen, blankets and upholstery as examples of such textiles, and the limit is, for example, 75 mg/kg for formaldehyde and 1,000 mg/kg for certain phthalates. Montenegro is not an EU member, and a new blanket is worth washing before first use.
On Glatko
On 28 September 2026 Glatko had one verified laundry and ironing provider and one carpet washing provider, both from Budva.
What to check before buying
- The size: 150x200 or 160x220 cm for a single, 200x220 or 220x240 cm for a double bed.
- The weight in g/m², from 280 for a light to 800 for a warm blanket.
- The composition on the label and the washing instructions.
- The price per square metre, not just per piece.
- An electric blanket has to be found outside these three shops, as they had none.
How we measured and what we did not measure
We copied prices from Okov and Ananas on the day we read them; the groups, medians and price per square metre are ours. We took sizes and weights from the name and removed sunglasses, rugs, puzzles, pet beds and pet blankets. At Okov we read the first search page, and KIPS searches returned no blankets. We did not measure warmth, shrinkage in the wash or composition.
