Bicycles in Montenegro: Prices of Balance, Kids', City, MTB and Electric Bikes on Ananas and at KIPS, and When an E-Bike Is Still a Bicycle under EU Rules (2026)
On 27 September 2026 a bicycle in Montenegro costs from €49.99 for a QPlay balance bike on Ananas to €6,009.40 for the Scott Addict eRide 10. Balance bikes for the youngest have a median of €62.50, kids' bikes with pedals €162.10, adult bikes €315.10, and electric bikes start at €493. At KIPS MS Energy electric bikes cost €1,310 to €1,776.67.

What people search for
According to Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months, the term bicikl (bicycle) had an average index of 4, against 58 for laptop and 35 for usisivac (vacuum cleaner) in the same comparison. On 27 September 2026 Google completed bicikl with podgorica, crna gora, za djecu (for children), za djecu podgorica and niksic, bicikli za odrasle (adult bikes) with kupujemprodajem, akcija (sale), prodaja (sale), cena (price) and decathlon, and elektricni bicikl (electric bike) with crna gora, cena, podgorica, tehnomax, na rate (in instalments) and 250w. So people look for a kids' bike, a sale, a second-hand bike and an electric bike.
Prices by group
On the marketplace Ananas a search for bicycle gives 2,083 results, most of them equipment and parts. From the first 378 results and the search for electric bike we picked out 105 bicycles. How we choose and label price sources is explained in how we measure prices.

Balance bikes without pedals cost from €49.99 for the QPlay Spark to €99.99 for the Yvolution Velo Junior, and the Kikka Boo Lanser €68. Kids' bikes with pedals start at €79.99 for a 14 inch Kids Sport. The Capriolo Fantasy and Roker cost about €100, the Polar Junior from 14 to 20 inches €153.10 to €167.50, and the 24 inch Booster Plasma with disc brakes €225.10.
With kids' bikes the price rises with wheel size. According to listings on Ananas, a 14 inch bike costs from €79.99 for the Kids Sport to €158.50 for the Polar Junior, a 16 inch from €84.99 to €279.10 for the Royal Baby Space Shuttle, and a 20 inch from €99.99 for the Kids Sport Summer to €309.90 for the Myland X-Treme. 24 inch bikes cost from €173.66 for the Adria Stinger to €315.10 for the Polar Sonic with suspension and the Royal Baby King. The Polygon Razor Mini BMX costs €489 and the Razor Pro €549. Before buying, compare the wheel size with the child's height.
Adult bikes start at €201.23 for the Adria Jasmin and €210.43 for the Capriolo Passion. The 28 inch Polar Grazia women's city bike costs €315.10, and the 29 inch Capriolo Oxygen €271.71. The folding Capriolo Folding costs €252.36 and the Folding Traveller €342.49. Dearer are the Polar Forester Pro for €549.10, the Scott Sub Cross 40 for €809.20 and the Scott Scale 900 for €1,449.10.
Tempo sells the most bicycles, with Polar, Booster, Royal Baby and Scott, followed by Donator, Dragije with Capriolo and Adria, and Multisport Shop. The most common brand is Polar.
Electric bikes
On Ananas the Tfssmile E3 costs €493, the Tfssmile Cargo E15 cargo bike €1,019.15, the 29 inch Avanti Explorer-E2 eRide €1,809.40, and the Scott Addict eRide €5,009.50 to €6,009.40. At KIPS there are three MS Energy e-bikes: the C20 for €1,310, the C102 for €1,450 and the C300 for €1,776.67. The search suggestion also shows 250w, a power figure that matters under EU rules.
Under Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 on the approval of two-wheel vehicles, a bicycle with an auxiliary electric motor is not treated as a motor vehicle if the motor has a maximum continuous rated power of up to 250 W, cuts out when the rider stops pedalling, and is progressively reduced and cut off before the speed reaches 25 km/h. More powerful or faster e-bikes fall under vehicles with other rules. Montenegro is not an EU member, so check power and speed limit on the bike's plate.

Equipment and maintenance
At Okov the word bicycle brings up mostly equipment: a Dunlop helmet costs €19.90, lights from €2.49, a combination cable lock from €2.99 and a hand pump from €1.99. At KIPS an MS Energy helmet costs €34.99. By our calculation, a Polar Junior kids' bike for €153.10 and a €19.90 helmet come to about €173. On Glatko
On 27 September 2026 Glatko had one verified small-repairs provider from Budva and three verified single-item transport providers, two from Podgorica and one from Herceg Novi.
What to check before buying
- Wheel and frame size for the rider's height.
- The brakes: rim or disc.
- For an e-bike, the power and speed limit on the plate.
- A helmet and lights, which are bought separately.
- The price of the same model in several shops and second-hand on classifieds.
How we measured and what we did not measure
We copied prices from Ananas, KIPS and Okov on the day we read them; the sorting and medians are ours. We did not test bikes, and we did not count push toys, tricycles, exercise bikes, scooters, parts or clothing as bicycles. On Ananas we read the first 378 results of the main search.
