Trash bins in Montenegro: prices of kitchen, pedal and outdoor bins on Ananas, at Okov and KIPS, price per litre and what the EU requires for waste sorting (2026)

On 27 September 2026 a trash bin on Ananas costs from €2.40 to €232, with a median of €14.60 across 97 listings. At Okov the median is €29.90 across 29 bins on the first page of the search, and at KIPS €22.75 across 17 bins. A 120 l outdoor bin at KIPS costs €39.90, and a 240 l one €59.90.

What people search for

Google Trends returned no data for the term kanta za smece (trash bin) in Montenegro. On 27 September 2026 Google completed kanta za smece with okov, jumbo, cungu, podgorica, velika (large), za kuhinju (for the kitchen), 120l cena, 240l cena and cena (price). So people look for shops, large outdoor bins and the price.

Bins on Ananas

On Ananas the search returned 99 results, and without an ashtray bin and a cigarette-butt bin 97 bins remained. Čistunica sells the most, 37 bins from €3.49 to €19.99, with a median of €10.99. Its plain 5 l bin costs €3.59, 10 l €5.69, 20 l €10.99 and 40 l €14.99, and its pedal bin costs €9.19 for 11 l, €14.99 for 18 l and €19.99 for 30 l.

Luxorplasman sells 31 Curver bins, from €3.02 to €24.92, with a median of €10.92. The Flip Bin costs €7.31 for 10 l, €14.60 for 25 l and €21.88 for 50 l, and the Click-it €7.13 for 9 l, €10.48 for 15 l, €15.40 for 25 l and €24.92 for 50 l. Stainless steel and chrome bins from Minotti, Blist and Maurer cost from €9.35 for 3 l to €52.37 for 20 l.

For sorting there are several options. An Artplast set of four 15 l bins costs €15.75, a Gtv segregator for a 400 mm cabinet €70.71, a set of three 120 l bins €199.75, and a 54 l Oskar triple bin €232 on sale.

Bins at Okov

At Okov the search returned 392 products, and the first page had 29 trash bins, 22 of them with a pedal. The stainless steel Vinoks Soft Close costs €7.49 for 3 l, €9.99 for 5 l, €12.99 for 12 l, €19.99 for 20 l and €24.90 for 30 l. The Rotho Twist with a swing lid costs €13.49 for 25 l and €22.90 for 50 l, and the Curver Essentials pedal bin €13.99 for 20 l and €25.90 for 40 l.

Brabantia is the most expensive: 11 bins from €34.90 to €129.90, with a median of €64.90. The NewIcon pedal bin costs €34.90 for 3 l and €84.90 for 30 l, the 30 l Bo Pedal €129.90, and the 25 l Sort&Go sorting bin €34.90.

Bins at KIPS

At KIPS the search returned 43 results, 17 of them trash bins; the rest were cleaning buckets, mortar tubs and paint buckets. 10 l bins cost €5.45 (Sabrina), €6.72 (Linny) and €7.08 (Touch&Open). For the yard, Plastika Gogić sells round bins of 60 l for €18.99, 80 l for €21.99 and 100 l for €26.90, and wheelie bins of 120 l for €39.90 and 240 l for €59.90. A 14 l hanging Oscar bin costs €22.75, and 25 l pull-out bins €59.05 and €88.60.

Price and calculation

By our calculation, a plain 40 l Čistunica bin costs €0.37 per litre and a 5 l one €0.72 per litre, so a litre in a small bin costs almost twice as much. The 30 l Vinoks pedal bin is €60 cheaper than a Brabantia NewIcon of the same capacity. The 240 l bin at KIPS has twice the capacity of the 120 l one and costs €20 more.

What the EU requires for waste sorting

Directive 2008/98/EC on waste requires member states to collect separately at least paper, metal, plastic and glass, and textiles from 1 January 2025. From 31 December 2023 bio-waste had to be either separated and recycled at source or collected separately and not mixed with other waste. Preparing for re-use and recycling of municipal waste must reach at least 55 % by weight by 2025, 60 % by 2030 and 65 % by 2035. Montenegro is not an EU member, but a bin with two or three compartments in the kitchen makes sorting easier where separate containers exist.

On Glatko

On 27 September 2026 Glatko had four verified cleaning providers, two from Budva and one each from Bar and Podgorica, and four verified kitchen and bathroom providers from Podgorica.

What to check before buying

1. The capacity: 5 to 10 l for the bathroom, 20 to 40 l for the kitchen, 120 l and more for the yard.
2. The opening: pedal, swing lid, pull-out or touch.
3. The material: plastic, stainless steel or chrome with an inner bucket.
4. Compartments if you sort waste.
5. The bag size that fits the bin.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from Ananas, Okov and KIPS on the day we read them; the groups, medians and price per litre are ours. We took the capacity from the name and removed ashtray bins, cigarette-butt bins, cleaning buckets and mortar tubs. At Okov we read the first page of the search. We did not measure how long the pedal lasts or how well the lid keeps odours in.
