On 26 September 2026 an office chair in Montenegro costs from €60 for the JYSK ROSTRUP, reduced from €120, and the median of 22 chairs at JYSK is €160. A desk at JYSK costs from €25, and the median of 43 desks is €150. A height-adjustable desk starts at €90, so the cheapest home office of a desk and a chair comes to about €105.

What people search for
According to Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months, the term kancelarijska stolica (office chair) had an average index close to zero, against 55.7 for usisivac (vacuum cleaner) in the same comparison. On 26 September 2026 Google completed kancelarijska stolica with crna gora, podgorica, jysk, ikea, forma ideale, linea, akcija (sale) and kupujemprodajem (a classifieds site). So people are looking for a specific shop, a sale and a used chair.
Prices of chairs and desks

At JYSK seven office chairs were discounted: the ROSTRUP €60 instead of €120, the KOKKEDAL €70 instead of €140, the NIMTOFTE €71.50 instead of €130 and the KASTBJERG €189 instead of €270. The most expensive is the VARPELEV at €350. Of the 22 office chairs at JYSK, five cost under €100, all of them discounted, 11 cost from €100 to €200, and six more than €200. Gaming chairs cost from €60.50 for the RANDRUP instead of €110 to €350 for the ABILDAA, and the Razer TYPE Z €340.
On Ananas the search gives 38 results, of which 36 are chairs, from €32.30 for a conference chair to €548.25 for the Razer Enki gaming chair. A work chair with a synchro mechanism costs €214, and the Commodo Valo €301.07. At KIPS there are two black office chairs, at €49 and €72.55.
Desks and height-adjustable desks
Desks at JYSK cost from €25 for the 40x60 cm ASTRUP and €45 for the 60x120 cm ASTRUP, through €75 for the 48x120 cm LINDVED instead of €150 and €170 for the 60x120 cm LIMFJORDEN, to €330 for the oak HAGE. Eight desks were discounted by about 50%.
Desks whose height can be changed cost from €90 for the 40x70 cm LUNDTOFT with gas adjustment and €250 for the 70x130 cm LUNDTOFT, to €320 for the 60x120 cm SVANEKE, €360 for 70x140 cm and €380 for 80x160 cm. Gaming desks cost €150 for the HALSTED and €250 for the LINDHOLM with LED lights.
The depth of the desk decides how comfortable it is to work at. Five 40 cm deep JYSK desks have a median of €50 and are enough for a laptop, 11 desks 48 to 53 cm deep have a median of €75, and 26 desks 60 cm deep or more, where a monitor sits at a comfortable distance from the eyes, have a median of €250. If you work at a computer for several hours a day, the price difference between a shallow and a deeper desk soon pays off.
What a home office costs
By our calculation, the cheapest combination at JYSK, the 60x120 cm ASTRUP desk for €45 and the ROSTRUP chair for €60, costs €105. A desk and chair at the JYSK medians cost €310, and the 60x120 cm height-adjustable SVANEKE desk with the KASTBJERG chair €509. For working from home the chair matters more than the desk, because you sit on it all day. A gaming chair at the JYSK median costs €290, almost twice as much as an office chair with a median of €160, and it is not necessarily better for work, so look at the adjustments, not the looks. A chair on castors can leave marks on parquet or laminate, so a protective mat is often placed under it.
EU rules on the work chair
Under Council Directive 90/270/EEC on work with display screen equipment, the work chair must be stable and allow easy freedom of movement and a comfortable position, the seat must be adjustable in height, and the backrest adjustable in both height and tilt. A footrest must be available to anyone who wants one, and the desk must have a sufficiently large, low-reflectance surface. Those rules apply to employers, but they are a good checklist when you buy a chair for home too.
