Shoe Cabinets in Montenegro: Hallway Shoe Cabinet and Shoe Rack Prices at JYSK, Ananas and Okov and the EU Formaldehyde Limit for Furniture (2026)
On 27 September 2026 a shoe cabinet at JYSK costs from €20 for the Damhus to €190 for the Oldekrog, with a median of €80 across 11 models, and an open shoe rack from €3 to €40. On Ananas 47 shoe cabinets cost from €44.30 to €327.30, with a median of €143.30. At Okov the Aliaj shelf and shoe cabinet with three drawers was €54.90 instead of €69.90, and KIPS had no shoe cabinets on offer.

What people search for
Google Trends for Montenegro gave no data for the term cipelarnik (shoe cabinet) when we asked on 27 September 2026, so we rely on search suggestions. That day Google completed cipelarnik with okov, crna gora, za hodnik (for the hallway), ikea, podgorica, forma ideale, za terasu (for the terrace), jysk and lubenica. So people look for shops and shoe cabinets for the hallway and the terrace.

Shoe cabinets at JYSK
At JYSK there are 11 shoe cabinets with compartments or doors and six open shoe racks. The cheapest is the four-shelf Damhus for €20, in dark grey. The only one on sale was the two-compartment Idskov, €44 instead of €110. The two-compartment Alleshave costs €50, the Bakhuse with two compartments €60 and with three €80. The three-section Limfjorden costs €150, the Terpet €170, and the three-compartment Oldekrog €190.
Open racks are cheaper. The Bornholm costs €3, and with four shelves €10, the bamboo Egtved €12, the Hals with two shelves €20 and with four €40, while the Uggerby costs €35. By our calculation, a median JYSK shoe cabinet costs five times as much as a median open rack.
Shoe cabinets on Ananas
On Ananas all 47 shoe cabinets were marked as on sale; ANANAS SHOP sells 40, mostly the Hanah Home brand, and RAMOND six. The cheapest are the Hanah Home SHC 110 and a 60x42x30 cm shoe cabinet at €44.30 each, and the ModernHome coat rack with a shoe cabinet costs €71.10. The RAMOND Base 15 costs €81.19, the Forma Ideale Hugo 23 €85.55, and the Hugo 24 €130.95. Among Hanah Home models the Sargel Atlantic costs €79.60, the Asta €84.30, the Drago €116.10, the Zulla €117.40, the Lena €133.80, the Zen Anthracite €143.30, and the Devin €166.40. The same 105x118,5x26 cm Hanah Home in white, brown, oak and grey costs €134.90 each, so the colour does not change the price. The RAMOND Neo costs €111.74, and the Menorca €132.70.
By height from the name, low shoe cabinets up to one metre cost from €44.30 to €197.20, medium ones from €134.90 to €153, and tall ones from 1.6 m from €160.50 to €320. The 45x210x35 cm Hanah Home costs €198.80, the 90x200x35 cm from €217.20 to €219, and the 120x200x35 cm €318.70 and €320. Hallway sets with a shoe cabinet and bench cost from €266.20 to €327.30, and the RAMOND EG-CPL21 €281.98.
At Okov the search returned one shelf and shoe cabinet with drawers, the Aliaj for €54.90, and the other results were heaters and other products. At the same Okov, in a search for mirrors, we also found a 5five shelf and shoe cabinet of 85x23,3x155,4 cm with four drawers, five shelves and a mirror for €109.
Price and calculation
By our calculation, a tall shoe cabinet on Ananas costs €104.10 more than a low one at the median. The cheapest JYSK cabinet with doors, the Idskov on sale for €44, is €0.30 cheaper than the cheapest on Ananas. The four-shelf Hals open rack for €40 costs half as much as the three-compartment Bakhuse, but shoes on an open rack are exposed to dust. The JYSK Terpet and Limfjorden together cost €320, so one tall 120x200 cm Hanah Home for €318.70 is €1.30 cheaper than the two of them.

How much formaldehyde the EU allows in furniture
Under entry 77 of Annex XVII to the REACH Regulation, introduced by Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1464, furniture and wood-based articles may not be placed on the market after 6 August 2026 if, in the prescribed test, they release more than 0.062 mg of formaldehyde per cubic metre of air. Formaldehyde is used in the resins for the chipboard many shoe cabinets are made of. Montenegro is not an EU member, but for chipboard furniture, ask about the emission class.

- The depth: shallow cabinets of about 25 cm fit a narrow hallway.
- The number of compartments and how many pairs fit.
- Wall-fixing hardware for tall models.
- The material: chipboard, wood or metal.
- The price before the discount in several shops.

We copied prices from JYSK, Ananas and Okov on the day we read them, including pre-discount prices where shown; the groups and medians are ours. We set height from the dimensions in the name, and we did not group products without dimensions by height. We did not measure load capacity or emissions, and KIPS had no shoe cabinets.
