On Ananas 29 of 34 products were marked as on sale, and Tehno Plus sells the most, followed by ANANAS SHOP and Grmec. The most common brand is Gorenje, from €22.50 for the CJ40W to €181.25 for the JC200BE, and Bosch costs from €155 for the MES25A0 to €283.90 for the MES4000. The 300 W Tesla CJ301BX costs €31.45, the 800 W Fisher FS 502 €46.75, and the Tefal Frutelia €55.25.
Cold press juicers, also sold as slow juicers, start at €63.75 for the 150 W Emerio SJ-110659.1. The MPM MSO-12M costs €108, the MPM MSO-16 €114.90, the Gorenje JC4800VWY €132.30, the First FA-5214 €132.60, and the Bosch MESM731M from €219.99 to €243.10. The 150 W Ninja JC151EU costs €160.65. Citrus presses cost from €19.55 for the FG Electronics FS520S to €28.80 for the Taurus, and the 5 l Metalac juicer €134.99.
On Ananas the same model is often sold by several sellers at different prices. The Gorenje JC900E costs €84.60 from one seller and €111.25 from another, the Gorenje JC805EII €58.50 and €85, the Bosch MESM731M €219.99 and €243.10, and the Bosch MES4000 €249.99 and €283.90. Juicers at Okov and KIPS
At Okov the Lurch Green Power manual juicer was €25.06 instead of €35.80, and the Base&Soul €41.90. The 400 W Sencor SJE741SS costs €47.90, the SSJ 8050SS €119.90, the 1200 W SJE5050SS with five speeds €139.90, and the SSJ 4050NP €149.90. The Tefal Frutelia Plus costs €53.90, the Juice Express €99, the Juiceo €144.90, the Juice n Clean €174.90, and the Ultra Juice €319.90. The Heinner Vitamin Fresh was €74.99 instead of €119.90, the Nutribullet NBJ100G costs €119.90, and the Smeg €484.
Kuvings at Okov sells eight cold press juicers in six models: the AUTO6 for €419, the B8200 for €529, the EVO820 for €569, the REVO830 for €669, the AUTO10S for €719 and the CS600 Chef for €1,599. With the EVO820 you can buy a citrus attachment for €45.90 and a smoothie and ice-cream attachment for €54.90. At KIPS there are only two juicers, the Tefal ZE370138 for €54.99 and the Gorenje JC900E for €79.99. That Gorenje JC900E at KIPS is cheaper than both prices of the same model on Ananas, and the Tefal is €0.26 cheaper than the Frutelia on Ananas.
Price and calculation
By our calculation, for the price of one €569 Kuvings EVO820 you can buy two Bosch MESM731M slow juicers at €243.10 and have €82.80 left, or more than five juicers at the Ananas median. Slow juicers on Ananas at the median cost €23.47 more than the median of all juicers. A 200 W slow juicer running for five minutes uses about 0.017 kWh, and an 800 W centrifugal one about 0.027 kWh in two minutes, which at the higher tariff of 11.5462 c/kWh is less than half a cent.

What the WHO says about fruit juice
According to the World Health Organization fact sheet on healthy diet, free sugar intake should be limited to less than 10 percent of daily energy intake, which is about 50 g for a person eating about 2000 calories, and reducing it to 5 percent or less may bring additional benefits. Free sugars include sugars naturally present in fruit juices and concentrates. The WHO says fruit juice can be consumed, but that even juices without added sugar contain significant amounts of free sugars.
