Tablecloths in Montenegro: prices by size, water-repellent and cotton tablecloths at Okov, KIPS and on Ananas, price per square metre and EU PFAS rules (2026)

On 28 September 2026 a tablecloth at Okov costs from €9.99 to €21.90, with a median of €15.99 across 32 tablecloths, and at KIPS from €9.49 to €14.49. On Ananas the 96 tablecloths on the first two pages of the search have a median of €16.10. A 140x220 cm tablecloth, for a table for six, costs from €14.20 on Ananas to €21.90 for a water-repellent one at Okov, and a square metre from €2.85 to €7.11.

What people search for

In Google Trends for Montenegro over the last 12 months, the term stolnjak (tablecloth), compared with usisivac (vacuum cleaner), had a value of 0 in every week, and Trends singled out stolnjak ili stoljnjak (stolnjak or stoljnjak) as a rising query, marked Breakout. So people also check how the word is spelled.

On 28 September 2026 Google completed stolnjak with jumbo, okov, podgorica, ili stoljnjak (or stoljnjak), pepco, jysk, ikea, za okrugli sto (for a round table) and za slavu (for a slava). So people search for shops, a tablecloth for a round table and a tablecloth for a slava.

Tablecloths at Okov

At Okov the first page of the search for stolnjak had 32 tablecloths, of which 23 water-repellent Mixo. A 140x140 cm Mixo costs €13.49 and €13.90, a 140x175 cm one €17.90, and a 140x220 cm one €21.90. Round Mixo tablecloths cost €13.90 for 120 cm and €17.90 for 160 cm.

Douceur d'Intérieur Essentiel costs €9.99 for a 180 cm round one and €11.99 for 140x300 cm, and Pauline and Naya €15.99 each. Cotton The Club Cotton tablecloths of 135x180 cm cost €14.99 each. The median of the 32 tablecloths at Okov is €15.99.

Tablecloths at KIPS and on Ananas

At KIPS the search for stolnjak returned eight Asdiva tablecloths in four designs, at €9.49 for 130x130 cm and €14.49 for 150x220 cm.

On Ananas the search for stolnjak returned 606 results, and the first two pages had 96 tablecloths, almost all Hermia. A 140x140 cm Hermia costs from €9.10 to €12.50, cotton ones €11.60 for 100x100 cm, €16.10 for 150x150 cm and €19.10 for 150x200 cm. Kareli of 160x220 cm costs €13.20, 140x220 cm ones from €14.20 to €19.70, and a 160 cm round one €16. L'essentiel Maison Lavinia of 155x200 cm costs €16.40. The median of the 96 tablecloths is €16.10.

Price per square metre

By our calculation, a square metre of tablecloth costs €2.85 for the 140x300 cm Essentiel at Okov, €3.75 for the 160x220 cm Kareli on Ananas, €4.39 for the 150x220 cm Asdiva at KIPS and €7.11 for the 140x220 cm water-repellent Mixo at Okov. For smaller tablecloths a metre costs €4.64 for a 140x140 cm Hermia and €7.09 for a Mixo of the same size.

A tablecloth should hang 20 to 30 cm over the edge of the table, so for an 80x140 cm table take a tablecloth of about 140x200 cm, and for a 100 cm round table one of about 160 cm. For a slava and a bigger table it pays to have two identical tablecloths or one longer one. A water-repellent tablecloth is usually just wiped with a damp cloth after a meal, while a cotton one is washed and ironed, so for everyday use many choose water-repellent and for a festive table cotton. Water-repellent tablecloths and PFAS under EU rules

Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/2462 added entry 79 on PFHxA to Annex XVII of the REACH regulation. PFHxA is one of the PFAS substances used for water- and stain-repellent finishes. From 10 October 2026 PFHxA may not exceed 25 ppb in clothing, footwear and mixtures for consumers, and from 10 October 2027 also in other textiles for consumers, which include tablecloths. The rules do not apply to products placed on the market before those dates.

Montenegro is not an EU member, and the word vodoodbojni (water-repellent) does not say which substance the tablecloth was treated with. If a PFAS-free tablecloth matters to you, ask the seller or choose an untreated cotton tablecloth, and rinse stains straight away.

On 28 September 2026 Glatko had 1 verified provider for laundry and ironing (Budva) and 3 for catering and food (Budva 2, Herceg Novi 1).

What to check before buying

1. The table size and a drop of 20 to 30 cm on each side.
2. The shape: rectangular, square or round.
3. The material: cotton, polyester or a blend.
4. The finish: water-repellent or untreated.
5. Washing: the temperature and whether it can be ironed.

How we measured and what we did not measure

We copied prices from Okov, KIPS and Ananas on the day we read them, with the pre-discount price where shown; the medians and price per square metre are ours. We took the size from the name. At Okov we read the first page of the search, and on Ananas the first two pages of 606 results. We did not measure the composition or PFAS in the tablecloths.
